    Re: WWE Off-Topic

Some reports saying that Rollins is in "preliminary discussions" about life after being a WWE superstar.

Seems like he's open to a backstage role in WWE (don't see him not getting whatever role he wants and working directly under HHH).

Don't know if it means he'll retire, become a part timer, or maybe go the Young Bucks route and be an EVP while being full time, but crazy to see that and also realize he's almost 40!

Doesn't feel like that long ago we had The Shield with a bunch of guys in their late 20s coming in (which wasn't as common to see guys from developmental coming in at that "young" of an age).

Reigns turns 40 this year, Rollins turns 40 next year!

Perhaps he'll move into that role once he hits 40? Becky's current deal maybe she signs it for 1 more year before she hangs it up?

Owens is already 40, Zayn is 40, Jey/Jimmy turns 40 this year, a lot of the current top talent are near that age 40 mark. Becky is 38 which surprises me because I would have thought both Rollins & Becky were a bit younger than what they are. WWE has got to start getting some of these younger talent ready, just looking at the age of some of their top stars now....

        Longevity/health also impacting this.

Those aren't old timers hanging around like we saw in the 90s especially. Those 40 year olds you mentioned could still go for at least a few more years.

As much as everyone criticized NXT 2.0, it was so badly needed and the roster today is stacked, it's just a matter of transitioning people from NXT to the main roster.

For all the names you listed, we now have (notables 30 and under):
        Tiffany (25)
        Liv (30)
        Lyra (28)
        Rhea (28)

        And NXT with
        Cora (24)
        Roxanne (23)
        Giulia (30)
        Jacy (28)
        Fallon (30)
        Jaida (26)
        Jordynne (28)
        Kelani (26)
        Lash (27)
        Lola (26)
        Nikkita (25)
        Sol (25)
        Tatum (28)
        Wren (29)
        Zaria (25)

        And men's wise we have:
        Theory (27)
        Bron (27)
        Creeds (30 and 28)
        Dom (27)
Logan (29, if you want to count him)
        Bate (27)
        Carmelo (30)
        Pretty Deadly (30 and 27)

        With NXT having:
        Dempsey (28)
        Jevon (20)
        Frazer (26)
        Oba (26)
        D'Angelo (29)
        Trick (30)

So there's lots of "youth" available for sure. Lots of names in early to mid 30s as well so not like they'll run out of talent or anything because one group is getting older.

Rollins should be moving on. Feels like he's been a regular on Raw for like 15 years. That is insane, and honestly not a good thing. It's a symptom of WWE being so dominant, and actual competition being fleeting at best.

            Re: WWE Off-Topic

As expected, WWEs new show LFG is basically just a modified version of Tough Enough.

Even once they make it to NXT it could be years before they make Raw or SD, which is the tough sell on a show like this. It's not like you win and suddenly you're a star.

Even Tough Enough, the biggest names to come out of that show weren't even the winners. Some winners didn't even make WWE at all.

Chelsea Green was on Tough Enough which is crazy because I don't remember that at all. And it obviously didn't lead to anything with WWE.

I saw someone say Shiloh is like if Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper had a baby and now I can't unsee it.

Elijah Holyfields advice I think that's exactly what they told Lexis King too. Use your name to get your foot in the door and to get them to know you. Once you do that, then give them your own reasons to not forget you.

The combine board is interesting to look at. Seeing NXT names like Sol Ruca, Izzy Dane and Rizzo up there is, it is interesting to see where some of these talent are before going to TV.

I like the "promo class" bit they did. We need more of that for sure. You can teach wrestling moves to anyone, but cutting promos effectively is such a hard thing. To this day people go on about Dusty Rhodes promo classes.

Undertaker reaction when one of the people used to be a mortician, that's his wheelhouse.

            Its good and bad.

On one hand, you want talent with long careers, and see how they change or evolve over time.

On the other hand, I think people got so used to the old days where talent needed to do everything asap or they wouldn't last or they'd just be elsewhere.

I think it's better the current way. Short careers could mean someone like Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes never get a 2nd chance, someone like Miz, Sheamus or Kofi are done before the 2nd part of their career launched them to a new level.

WWE Rivals resumed this week with Austin vs Taker.

One thing I never knew but also not surprised given they've spoken about competing in the Sportatorium before is Austin and Taker once had a match in the 1980s in the USWA literally a year before he became the Undertaker.

I knew it before but still funny seeing Undertakers old gimmick was a masked one.

Triple H - Chief Content Operator of WWE

HBK - In Charge of NXT

Road Dogg - Co-Writer of Smackdown

Only missing Billy Gunn & Sean Waltman to be in charge of something at WWE and the full DX takeover of WWE will be complete.

Billy is currently a coach in AEW I believe, so perhaps he could be a coach down in NXT too. I'd love seeing the Gunns go to WWE as well.

Don't know what X-Pac could do. Has he ever had a backstage role anywhere?

Don't know if they are all tied together contract wise, but I can see Billy and his sons all jumping ship to WWE once their contracts are up. Guess X-Pac could be a Coach in NXT as well. Maybe a Producer, maybe a Writer down in NXT with Shawn. It's just crazy to think that picture of DX being spray painted on the headquarters of WWE predicted the future of WWE lol.

If I ask politely, you think Triple H would give me a Legends contract? Seems like everyone is getting one these days. Hacksaw Jim Duggan is the latest Hall of Famer to sign a Legends deal with WWE.

I feel like a Hacksaw appearance on WWE TV right now wouldn't make him the most popular guy internationally at least.

I feel like these legends deals are really just for merch reasons.

In his case too, probably a SNME appearance. We won't get Ventura and Hogan, they'll probably do Ventura and Hacksaw.

Someone in the Sicks is injured, assumed to either be Bo or Gacy last I heard.

Seems weird they'd be out just because of 1 injury but that is the only rumor I've heard about them so it's probably true.

But also, they're obviously teasing a story involving Alexa and the Wyatt's now too so they'll obviously be back, possibly as soon as the chamber (which would make sense since she's in it, and the group is the preorder DLC for 2k25 which releases soon).

And a random note, I'm watching Hollywood Squares and Whitney Cummings reminds me so much of Chelsea Green for some reason.

So Rock posted another video on instagram that seems to be hinting at something. He talks about doing something "one day" versus "Day 1"... and says he's on a mission to get something done. Fans noted that he's been liking WWE posts lately when he normally doesn't. I know people discussed the idea of Rock being 31 in the Rumble, what if Cena wins the Chamber only for Rock to impromptu challenge him for his spot and he beats John Cena for the right to face Cody?

People have said, Rock could basically call up Triple H and be like, hey I'm doing Mania now and everything gets thrown out the window. He ends the video in a gym where he says he's going to work on his cardio... which he would need in order to do a wrestling match at Mania. What do you all think?
