This means more superstars from superstars guys getting opportunities (even if it is just a job match). That is a good thing.

But it can also mean people wont tune in until the last act of the show. Three hours of wrestling per show can be a little much.

I think it's going to be a challenge to keep the crowd interested. Especially if it's a bunch of downtime for recaps.

I was thinking the same thing. It can either make PPVs longer or just dilute the Raws with non wrestling content like backstage stuff, recaps, and more talking. I cant imagine them filling a Raw with legitimate matches up and down the card for 3 hours with PPVs being the same length and content.

Unfortunately, matches won't be longer because it will hurt their PPV business (the little that is left anyway).

If anything, hopefully it means more people get a chance, but Raw has always been angled based so I'm sure it means 10-15 mins of that extra hour is a promo, then 5-10 mins of recaps, add in commercials and you're already at 30 mins.

The only way I see this working out is if they decide to bring in some more big name wrestlers from other companies or from the Indy Circut.

This has the potential to be a disaster. 3 hour Nitro was not a good show.

Eh, too general a statement. I usually am pretty forgiving on the WWE product and enjoy it for what it is. However, this is a move I'm really skeptical about. 80% of their 3 hour shows now are pretty awful. They don't have longer matches, just more pointless ones. Lots of backstage segments (boring ones) and stupid filler.

I really hope the change to the length signifies a change in their approach as well. Maybe make the first hour or so more "Smackdown" like...with longer matches. Then it will be a really great change.

Not a good decision, don't have the current star power to make it work imo. Maybe 5 years or so ago, but not right now

I enjoy bitching and moaning about the product just as much as the wrestling itself. That's the beauty of wrestling and sports. Another hour of Raw will be welcomed with open arms . Just means another hour spent in my favorite thread on OS.

This and the entertainment threads are the only ones I really post in anymore.

What I have seen tossed around on the internet is a "countdown" show, which just catches you up on the past week or so, toss on some interviews and a match or two, and it appeases USA (who wanted this) by increasing their ratings for that 8 PM slot while WWE give you something you don't have to watch (and still get the ad money).

What I have seen tossed around on the internet is a "countdown" show, which just catches you up on the past week or so, toss on some interviews and a match or two, and it appeases USA (who wanted this) by increasing their ratings for that 8 PM slot while WWE give you something you don't have to watch (and still get the ad money).

I'd be okay with that. Get all of the video packages and **** out of the way and show me two matches.
