I understand everyone has their preferences, but personally I'll never get the Rey hate on here. He puts on good/great matches, isn't afraid to put people over, and isn't that much of a title hogger compared to some of the others that are bashed around here. Is it just because he's little?

I just don't like him in the main event. Seeing him compete against the bigger guys (i.e. Undertaker and Batista) over the last few years was excruciating. However, his programs with Jericho and Ziggler were both fantastic and were Intercontinental Championship feuds while he was far, far away from one of the main titles.

I understand why the put one of the main belts on him the first time, but beyond that he should stick to the upper mid-card or lower upper card. It's not even just his size either, but he is absolutely terrible on the mic (find me a guy that has held one of the main belts in the last decade that is worse other than a non-English speaking Great Khali) and is only capable of wrestling one specific type of match.

I understand that we are supposed to suspend our disbelief when it comes to pro wrestling, but how in god/satan's name are we supposed to believe he ever has a chance to defeat someone like Big Show in a match? No matter how hard I try I just... I can't.

I have enjoyed a great many of his matches ever since he appeared in WCW, but they have all been against either other cruiserweight guys or were midcard matches. I just absolutely despise his main event work and never want to hear his Spanglish ever, ever again.

Agreed about his mic work, he's one of the few guys that doesn't/hasn't needed a mic to get over. Almost since the day he walked in he was over bc of what he did in the ring. And though some of that may have been purely spots, unlike Sin Cara (who's horrible) he can pace a match and is a good face in peril at garnering sympathy. I'm not saying anyone has to like him, everyone has their preferences which is what makes wrestling so unique.

There's still a place for him in the midcard as long as he can stay healthy and still put guys over. It would definitely help in the amt of midcard heels that have nothing to do, since a feud w/ Rey can be good at getting heat even if a title isn't involved. Even the Rey/Cody stuff was pretty good last year.

None of those guys are good on the mic by any means (although Swagger's promos were really underrated when he was champ) but I would rather listen to any of those guys talk instead of hearing Spanglish.
