Monday Night Raw
-John Laurinaitis Introduction
"It is true, I promised The Miz a United States Championship match against John Cena in return for his services. Unfortunately, once again, Mr. McMahon has decided to overstep his bounds and overrule that match at Survivor Series. So instead, I have decided that tonight's main event will be The Miz against John Cena for the United States Championship! I have also decided that match will be NO DISQUALIFICATION!
But I am glad that Mr. McMahon has come to his senses about one thing, and that is giving David Otunga his RIGHTFUL rematch against Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship! I promise you this; David Otunga walked out of one match against the Undertaker as champion, he will do it again!
If Mr. McMahon thinks he's going to have the last laugh with this Survivor Series match for full control of Raw and Smackdown, he is wrong! In fact, I think he's biting off more than he can chew, because I don't see any 3 guys under his jurisdiction on SmackDown that he can recruit that can out gun a lineup of Big Show, JBL, and the future United States Champion, The Miz!
However, Mr. McMahon has failed to take one thing into consideration. I am STILL in full control of Monday Night Raw, and as the WWE Championship is a Raw brand title, it falls under my jurisdiction. Which means I have added one final stipulation to Sunday's WWE Championship Match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart - that match will have a special guest referee. But that referee won't be just anybody. That referee will be someone who will make sure that Mr. McMahon's influence isn't a factor in that match to sway it unfairly in one direction. That referee will be none other than... YOURS TRULY! Mr. People Power himself, I, John Laurinaitis, will give you, the WWE Universe what you want, as I watch over the WWE Championship match as special guest referee, ensuring only the highest quality match for you, our fans!"
Mr. Laurinaitis' announcement was followed by Paul Heyman making his way to the ring.
"John, that's all well and good, but if you were watching SmackDown, you would have seen an incident of far more significance and importance. And to address this situation, I would like to ask CM Punk to come down to the ring tonight so we can discuss this."
As requested, CM Punk marched to the ring, accompanied by the sounds of Living Colour.
"Paul, let me just say this and make it real simple for you. I'm not here to be held back by Brock Lesnar. If you want Brock to be a Tag Team Champion so much, then by all means, take my place on Sunday at Survivor Series as Brock's partner. But I'm not here for tag team gold, I'm here for world championships. I'm the best in the world, and I'm far beyond sharing the glory, and even further beyond being reduced to simply a 'Paul Heyman guy'."
After his brief statement, CM Punk followed it up with a GTS to Heyman, as John Laurinaitis simply stood by watching on. Punk left the ring, taunting a fallen Paul Heyman who was left laying in the ring.
-Dolph Ziggler def. Faarooq
-Chris Jericho def. Kane
The match spilled outside the ring, where Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho on Kane on the rampway. While having the signature submission move locked in, Paul Heyman rushed to the ring, distracting Jericho and allowing Kane to break the hold.
Heyman watched from ringside as Jericho and Kane continued their battle. As the match spilled outside the ring once more, with the referee's attention focused on the superstars outside the ring, Heyman snuck into the ring and exposed one of the turnbuckles. After doing his deed, he immediately left ringside, with the match returning to the ring. Once back, Jericho immediately used the exposed turnbuckle as a weapon, softening up Kane for 2 consecutive Codebreakers to end the match.
-Triple H calls out British Bulldog
"I've had enough of everyone's crap the past couple weeks. Bret Hart, British Bulldog, JBL, Miz... all of you punk bitches have been stirring up crap the past few weeks. Bret Hart weaseled his way into a WWE Championship Match, JBL and The Miz picked a fight with the wrong man by messing with the boss. Who does that leave? British Bulldog. Bring your punk *** out here and stand face to face with me instead of sneak attacking me like a bitch!"
British Bulldog answered the call, and the 2 men wasted no time with words, and instead immediately went to trading blows. The fight spilled outside the ring, where Triple H pulled out the sledge hammer from under the ring. After laying out British Bulldog with the sledge hammer, The Game finally ended the fight by tackling British Bulldog through the barricade.
Could this be the scene Sunday night at Survivor Series?
-WWE United States Championship
The Miz def. John Cena (C)
John Cena was at a disadvantage from the get go. Before the competitors made their way to the ring, JBL made his entrance, sitting at ring side as The Miz made his way to the ring. When John Cena's music hit, he didn't wait to rush the ring, going straight for Miz and throwing blows before the bell rung.
Once the match officially begun, JBL offered support for Miz from ringside, while Miz immediately went for Skull Crushing Finale. It wasn't enough to keep Cena down, and Miz tried it one more time. Again Cena kicked out, and Miz went for Skull Crushing Finale a THIRD time! But once again, Cena kicked out, keeping the match alive!
The two men continued the match, and Cena began to mount a comeback. Just as he set up for the Attitude Adjustment, JBL rushed into the ring and hit Cena with the championship belt! Miz regathered himself, but Cena set up for the AA one more time, and JBL again rushed the ring breaking up the maneuver. With this match an unfair 2 on 1, The Miz once again laid out Cena with a 4th finisher, but this one was enough to keep the champ down for 3. With the Miz awarded the victory, instead of celebrating, The Miz continued the assault on Cena before he walked off alongside JBL, the new United States Champion!
