I still intend to get a digital capture card to record results in a much better definition, but until that time comes (I've had to budget for more important things lately) I figured I'd go ahead with the old iPhone method as it has been.

                          Raw – April, Week 1

Wrestlemania XXVIII has come and gone. The WWE has begun a new era, successfully dissolving the brand split. The show begins with a shocker. “My Time” hits, and Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring. She wastes no time getting to the point: her father, on behalf of the board, has named her as the new ‘operational manager’ of the WWE while it “oversees its transition away from the brand split.” She informs the sold-out crowd that she now has sole discretion over “who makes it, and… well, who doesn’t make the cut.” Stephanie said she will provide further guidance as the night goes on, but the gist of her declaration was simple: the WWE is paving a new way forward. “Without two brands, we are left in a bind. There are too many passengers, and not enough seats. You either prove you’re worth it to us, or…” she paused, delivering a devilish grin, “as my father would say, ‘You’re fired.’” She made special note that tonight will feature the return of a WWE Championship previously retired: the European Championship will be on the line for the first in years. To fill its vacancy, the WWE Operational Manager has selected four superstars of “appropriate caliber” to compete. The winner will be declared the new European Champion. “Last, and certainly not least,” Stephanie said, “there is the small matter of deciding a number-one contender for The Rock’s WWE Championship…”

Rudely, CM Punk’s music hit. From the stage, he berated Stephanie. “I know you think I don’t care about you, Steph—and it’s true, I don’t—but I felt the need to come down here and make it known that I am the real number one contender. I never got my rematch from the Royal Rumble. Anyone in this crowd here or on their couch at home can tell you that I deserve the rematch I was denied.”

“I don’t disagree. You didn’t get a rematch,” Stephanie replied, “but, in the spirit of proving that you belong here, I have a challenge for you. You will face an opponent of my choosing... tonight… in a steel cage match. The winner will face The Rock at Extreme Rules for the WWE Championship.” Punk may have disagreed with Stephanie, but he accepted the terms. Steph closed the segment by saying, “Oh, and Punk—you’re facing John Cena.”

Asked by backstage reporter, Jenny Fictitious, for his thoughts on the upcoming rematch, the WWE Champion said, “The Rock is a busy man, he doesn’t have time for rematches against people he’s already beaten, Jenny. The Rock has asses to kick, movies to make, and GI Joes to sell. But CM Punk should feel lucky that The Rock is a generous man.”

Chris Jericho © v. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

A preview of their Extreme Rules match for the Intercontinental Championship, this match came about after Fandango ruthlessly attacked Y2J following his successful championship defense last week on Raw. Jericho hit the Liontamer, but Summer successfully distracted the ref long enough not to notice Fandango madly tapping. Wildly frustrated, Jericho went for the Walls, but Summer again distracted the ref. Livid, Jericho went over to the referee only to have Fandango throw him to the ropes and roll him up in a quick pin that caught the champion by surprise. Winner, Fandango.

                          WWE Championship
                          Singles
Mark Henry v. The Rock ©

The Rock was punished by Stephanie McMahon for “not coming to Triple H’s rescue” in his tag-team match with HHH vs. Kane and Big Show on Smackdown! Because of this, he was forced to defend his title only one week before Extreme Rules. In the main event of Raw, The Rock put his WWE Championship up for grabs against no ordinary opponent—Mark Henry. “And just so you know I’m not being unfair to CM Punk, ladies and gentlemen, he will still face the WWE Champion at Extreme Rules… whoever that happens to be.”

CM Punk joined the commentary team to help call the match.

Winner, by pinfall, and still WWE Champion, The Rock.

After the match, The Rock and Punk stared each other down in the ring.

Whoops, didn't notice that Miz/Barrett said "champion vs. champion" on it. That's my mistake; it was taken on the main play now screen, and I must have forgotten to vacate his stupid Miz WWE Championship. I don't care enough to fix it, either. Sorry for the gigantic post.

The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.

                                -Shawn Michaels def. R-Truth
It's still unknown why R-Truth attacked Shawn Michaels on Smackdown, especially when he's not even part of the main WWE roster, but Shawn Michaels didn't want to wait around for explanations, and was able to open up Raw with a grudge match against The Truth. The match went off without a hitch, and Shawn Michaels showed why he's the Showstopper, picking up a victory in dominating fashion over R-Truth.

                                -A.J. Lee def. Eve
A couple weeks ago, Trish Stratus challenged the Women's Champion A.J. Lee at TLC. Tonight, A.J. Lee publicly accepted the match, before facing off in a match of her own against Eve. The former First Diva of Team Laurinaitis was a formidable opponent for the Women's Champion, but in the end, A.J. proved why she holds the gold and stood victorious.

-Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler via countout
A cocky Dolph Ziggler came to the ring, issuing an open challenge to anyone in the locker room who wanted to face him in the ring, stating that he has beaten everyone on the roster worth fighting, and has no challenges left. He didn't expect Rey Mysterio to answer the call.

Ziggler seemed as though he was going to pick up the victory, but Mysterio withstood Ziggler's early momentum and avoided a Zig Zag to switch momentum. Rey Mysterio's high flying and agility overwhelmed Ziggler as the match spilled to the outside where Ziggler ended up getting sent through a barricade. Mysterio got back in the ring in time to have Ziggler counted out, who was down for good outside the ring. This huge blow will surely affect Ziggler as he heads into his championship defense at TLC against John Cena.

                                -Triple H v. Bret Hart
                                No Contest

A scheduled match between The Game and the WWE Champion Bret Hart never got underway as The Rock attacked Bret Hart as he made his way to the ring, delivering a Rock Bottom to the outside. The referee immediately tossed the match out before it even began.

-Shane McMahon taunts a beaten Edge
"As you all may have noticed, a certain man isn't here tonight. A certain man who got his *** kicked by the Diesel last week on Smackdown. A man you all know as Edge! That's right, your beloved Edge is back at home licking his wounds after the beating delivered to him by THIS MAN!"

Wasting no more time, The Diesel himself, Kevin Nash came to the ring to accompany Shane O-Mac.

"That's right. I whipped Edge's puny little *** all over the arena last Friday night, and on Sunday I'm going to do the same thing to the Undertaker! I'm gonna whoop his *** to hell, but he won't be coming back!"

"And Kevin, I've decided what type of match it's going to be. I've decided that it's going to be a Tables Match. Once your Jackknife Powerbomb puts Undertaker through a table in the middle of this ring, the World Heavyweight Championship will be yours!"

"Once I'm done with Undertaker, he and Edge can sit at home together licking each other's wounds. After the beating I gave to Edge last week, he won't be making it to TLC, and after I'm done with Undertaker, he won't be leaving TLC!"

Nash and McMahon's moment was interrupted by the Deadman himself, as the Undertaker made his way to the ring. Nash got out of the ring, leaving Shane McMahon to fend for himself. Shane O-Mac didn't fair too well, suffering a Tombstone at the hands of the Deadman, as Nash high tailed it. Undertaker stood in the ring, unhappy with Nash's escape, but satisfied with the sacrifice of Shane McMahon.
