WWE SummerSlam 2013
Match 1: WWE Tag Team Chammpionships
Show-Miz (c) vs The Good Guys (Anthony Royal (CAW)and MVP)
After failing to capture the World Title on numerous occasions, Royal and MVP decided to set their differences aside and pursue the Tag Team Titles. Show-Miz, meanwhile, reunited to help thwart the NWO and have held the titles since Wrestlemania, defending against all comers, including The Good Guys back at Money in the Bank. This was a good, evenly matched, back and forth contest, until, out of nowhere, Royal hit his finisher on Miz to put him away in about 6 minutes.
Winners and NEW WWE Tag Team Champions, The GoodGuys! **1/2

Match 2: Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship
Kane (c) vs Wade Barrett vs Carlito
These three men represented Smackdown in the Money inthe Bank ladder match at the last PPV. Kane won, leading to jealousy from Barrett and Carlito. Both men vowed they would take Kane’s United States titleto avenge their previous loss. Kane, feeling very confident being Mr. Money in the Bank, accepted the challenge and this match was made. The match was prettyentertaining. It started with Barrett and Carlito double teaming Kane, but that partnership ended pretty quickly. All three men were decimated throughout thecourse of the match and it was filled with finishers galore. The end came when Carlito took Kane down with a Backstabber, only to be laid out by Barrett. Barrett then pinned Kane to capture the US Title in 12 minutes.
Winner and NEW United States Champion, Wade Barrett!***1/4

Match 3: Hell in a Cell Match
Daniel Bryan vs Samoa Joe
These two men have been at each other’s throats for months. Bryan beat Joe at King of the Ring, only for Joe to even the score with a victory at Judgment Day. Their hatred for one another might have even cost them victory in the Money in the Bank ladder match, as they couldn’t take their focus off one another. It was determined that the only way to put an end to this blood feud was inside the cell. I was ready for a brutal match. It started as a brawl, but all of the sudden, Bryan rolled Joe up. At 2, Joe reversed intoa bridging pin. He got 2, then Bryan powered out in a backslide for the 3!WHAT!? This blood fued that needed a Hell in a Cell to settle the score ended in 59 seconds.
Winner Samoa Joe. No rating for this one.
Match 4: Intercontinental Championship
Jack Swagger (c) vs Rob Van Dam
Jack Swagger joined forces with Zeb Coulter and took the Intercontinental Championship from Alberto Del Rio at Judgment Day. He has been running roughshod over RAW ever since. RVD, meanwhile, had been competing on the ECW brand. When ECW was disbanded, RVD came to RAW and looked to make an immediate impact, challenging Swagger for the Intercontinental Championship. The arrogant Swagger accepted without hesitation and the match was booked. This match was a really fun back and forth affair. Swagger tossed RVD around early, using his strength to dominate the match. RVD had a few hope spots, but Swagger really dominated. It looked like Swagger would win after a gut wrench powerbomb, but RVD kicked out. RVD made a nice comeback and in a crazy spot, hit a 5-Star Frogsplash from the top rope through the announce table! Later, RVD cracked Swagger in the face with a nasty kick that busted him open.It seemed that took all the fight out of Swagger. The end was pretty cool, as RVD had Swagger face first in the turnbuckle. He set him on the top rope andhits a German suplex, but he hung on with his legs, pulled himself up to the top rope, and came off with a Five-Star Frogsplash for the win in about 6 minutes.
Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion, Rob VanDam ***1/2

Match 5: Tag Team Match
CM Punk and John Cena vs Matt Morgan and Brock Lesnar
John Cena has been embroiled in a war with the Heyman Guys for months, but he was overwhelmed by Lesnar and Morgan. However, he found himself a partner in CM Punk, who himself was taken out by Lesnar back at Extreme Rules. This match was absolutely brutal. Both Morgan and Lesnar were busted wide open, but they wouldn’t stay down. Nor would Cena and Punk. Lesnar and Punk were specifically tough, both kicking out of numerous F5s and GTS’s I actually think there was some kind of glitch going on, as they continuously kicked out at 1, sometimes even before 1. The ending finally came when Matt Morgan dropped Punk with the Hellavator. Lesnar crushed Cena, not allowing him to break up the pin and the Heyman Guys got the win in about 17 minutes.

Match 6: World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus (c) vs Kurt Angle
Angle was supposed to get a one on one match for the title with Sheamus at Money in the Bank, but Orton weaseled his way into the match, making it a triple threat in which Sheamus retained. Angle challenged Sheamus to a one on one match for SummerSlam and Sheamus accepted, setting up a huge clash between two men with almost full momentum. The match was very competitive and back and forth, with neither man getting a real edge early. Angle began to dominate with a variety of suplexs and slams and itseemed as if Sheamus’ title reign could be coming to a close. However, the match spilled to the outside of the ring, and Angle ended up spearing Sheamus through the barricade. Angle was able to beat the count, but Sheamus could not. Therefore, Angle captured the win, but not the title, in about 14 minutes of action.
Winner, via count out, Kurt Angle, however, STILL World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle
Match 7: WWE Championship
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs Chris Jericho
Ziggler has been dominating RAW for nearly a year now as champion, first capturing the title way back in September at Night of Champions. Last month at Money in the Bank, Chris Jericho came closer than anyone else to ending the reign, but Ziggler stole the win. The next night on RAW, Jericho attacked Ziggler and said he would attack Ziggler again and again until he got a rematch. Vickie Guerrero made the match and made it no countouts and no disqualifications. These guys really went at it here in a back and forth display. A fameasser on the outside of the ring busted Jericho wide open and he just never seemed to be the same afterwards. It seemed Ziggler was closing in on the victory, when from out of nowhere Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho! He had it in for a long time, but Ziggler managed to escape and that was the last gasp for Jericho, as a Zig Zag moments later finished him off in about 15 minutes.
Winner and STILL WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler! ****
