Once again..complete noob

Im having a ball with this universe mode! But I do have a couple questions.

Why are there so many championship belts, and can I just put EVERYONE on one roster? I bought the DLC to unlock everyone and I dont care about duplicate players (I had Dude Love vs Mankind vs Cactus Jack for the Hardcore title). Or is it a bad idea to do this?..

Is there a way to get the old Nation of Domination music & attire? They were my favorite coming up.

You can put everyone on one roster.There are so many championship belts because they include AE belts and customized belts by superstars. The NOD music is there,don't know about the attire.

just go to edit universe and Vacate all the other titles you wont use. and put all the wrestlers you dont want to use under the INACTIVE brand.

if u dont want to use the NOD song they have in the game you will have to find the one u want to use and put it in the game. just ask AlexBraun in the Entrance theme Thread. he does a great job.

The key to having cutscenes/storylines seems to be not having shared titles on your brands (Universe wont create stories between inter-brand wrestlers, so these matches wont have them) and simulating the first month because the first month is just messed up for some reason.

Doing this I've had 3-4 feuds per card with continuing cutscenes each week. Nothing really great, but they have been continuous.

What exactly do u mean by "not having shared titles on your brands"? Like a guy from smackdown vs a guy from raw for a title? I'm just wondering cuz I wanna maximize my entertainment value and get more stories...thanks in advance for explaining man

You can't have both brands sharing a title. Like 1 world title for both brands or how the Tag Titles are by default. I'm guessing the game gets confused at keeping up with fueds. I'd recommend holding Raw and Smackdown separate PPVs. Just did that for the first time and had a great default cards. I guess the game has an easier time separating shows and tracking fueds. For my Raw PPV Backlash about half the matches were the standard title matcha and the other half was guys in fueds. It played out great and getting more cutscenes now.

I'm not sure that this is true but I haven't done enough testing yet to confirm. I've got two shows with different rosters (main-eventers on Raw and mid-tier guys on Smackdown) and different titles except for sharing the Divas and Tag Team titles. So far, I haven't had issues w/stories and matchmaking. I'll have to sim more to see but so far so good.

Set of my "U" last night, being a wrasslin fan for many many years - I think this Universe 2.0 is awesome. The customization is amazing. I set up MNR, RAW is War, AE Smackdown!, SD - every end of the month I have 2 PPV one for AE and for WWE.

I split the AE roster into 2 shows like to the way i was and have one championship and IC and one Tag Titles.

DX HHH WC - Y2J - IC and NAO - Tag with Womens Title - Trish

New WWE is Punk - WWE champ - Big Show - WC - Kane and D-By -Tag - Beth is Divas.

Seems like i have had a few runs in already, allied and rivaled before i set up shows.

We shall see how all this plays out over the next few weeks.

AE Raw is War - Match #4 #1 contender Rock won vs Mankind -CPU set up. - Cutscene -HHH sits along ring side - so me and Rock walk up to Hunter to talk - HHH leaves.

MAtch #5 Main event - HHH vs SC - CPU set up. - AI played to see how it would fair to playing, pretty good match.
Stone Cold wins buy Piledriver on the Announcer Table - COUNT OUT.

Will be more involved once U starts to take some shape in the next week.

*tip for all - Epic matches seem to make cutscenes, I'm getting some.

Just now in my RAW Super Show, the Universe booked Undertaker/Kane against Hall and Nash. After a back and forth contest, 'Taker and Kane won only to be attacked by the Road Warriors after the match.

The next match, Hunter Hearst Helmsley against Stone Cold began with HHH attacking Ausin outside the ring...

So I guess I'd say I am getting story moments even with brands sharing belts.

Few months in my Universe, think i am at my 6th PPV Hell in a Cell that is happening right now. I decided that i needed to add some tag teams since my tag division is really really bad. So i decided to make "The Bikers" Razor Ramon and Billy Gunn, "The Olympians" Kurt Angle and Damian Sandow, "The New Nexus" Ted Dibiase - Daniel Bryan - Andre The Giant - The there are two others that are slipping my mind, "The Corre" Cody Rhodes - CM Punk - Ryback - Goldberg - Otunga, "NWO" Hulk Hogan - Kevin Nash - Justin Gabriel - Sheamus - One more ,Hardy Boys, and finally the Dudleys.

Still got a ways to go but i think these guys will make it better, plus i have HBK and HHH to make DX, Brother's of Destruction, LOD, APA, Edge and Christian.


And as i am typing this, Cody Rhodes just threw Sin Cara off the top of the cell through the announce table

I LOVE the new universe mode. Am getting plenty of cutscenes by just leaving it alone mainly. Stick to the suggested card as much as you can, especially once something gets started - let it run its course. If you're not getting anything for a particular wrestler and you want to - change the rivals and then do some interference to get things started. Has worked for me, FWIW.

My universe has WWE with the Raw and Smackdown brand split. Raw is mostly the attitude era guys and Smackdown is more of the modern era WWE. I have two other WWE owned promotions going (I say WWE-owned to help me deal emotionally with all of the WWE ads... and the jumbotron saying WWE all the time) - ECW and WCW.

Current champs are Stone Cold (WWE-Raw), CM Punk (World-Smackdown), Lesnar (ECW), and Hogan (WCW). Hogan, with some help from NWO, beat Goldberg for the title at the Bash at the Beach ppv.

I have the WWE ppvs and have the arenas and logos in CC for the full schedule of WCW ppvs, which they share with ECW.

Some of the highlights include:
Raw: the Acolytes splitting up and feuding, Stone Cold and HHH feuding, Edge and Undertaker feuding on Raw, New Age Outlaws (champs) and the Corporation...
Smackdown: CM Punk and Orton...
WCW: probably my best show right now - Goldberg vs the NWO for the first month and now Hogan has teamed with Goldberg and I think it is a work, LOD has been making life miserable for the British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation has also been feuding with Nash and Hall...
ECW: champion Lesnar has shown up on Smackdown during a CM Punk match, run in and attacked Stone Cold on Raw, and has been absolutely destroying Kurt Angle in their feud - the guy has been everywhere but on the last show Angle and Sabu turned a triple threat match into a handicap match and Lesnar was finally slowed down. I started a tag team of Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas and called them the Insiders and they're making a run at the tag title - but it looks like they'll have to go through the Hardys first.

I have the McMahons and Laurintis (sp?) and Heyman as free agents but allied and rivals vs various wrestlers. I've basically got it so Vince runs Raw, Laurinitis runs Smackdown for Vince, Shane owns WCW, and Heyman runs ECW. Heyman is pulling the strings with Lesnar and the also has the Dudleys, the ECW tag champs, in his stable.

Anyway, loving it. I've got all 50 CAW spots filled and could use another 50. I have a NXT roster and FCW roster as I like to limit how many guys I have on a show to a max. of 20 - I'll shuttle guys on and off the programming to keep it fresh and make it so only the guys I really want on a show are appearing. I may add an AWA as the belts will be made available in the future and I like the in game logos for arenas b/c they're so crisp compared to some of the CC logos when they're on the side of the mat. Also may start up TNA.

Just restarted my Universe. I'm running 3 shows, Raw, ECW, and Smackdown, probably going to add a 4th with Saturday night Heat, mixing up all 3 rosters.

Raw's titles: WWE Championship (CM Punk)
Intercontinental Championship (Kofi Kingston)
WWE Tag Team Championhips (Team Hell No!)
Women's Champion (Stephanie McMahon)

ECW's titles: ECW Championship (Cactus Jack/Mick Foley)
Hardcore Championship (Road Dogg)

Smackdown's titles: World Heavyweight Championship (Big Show)
United States Championship (JBL)
WWE Tag Team Championships (Team Hell No!)
Women's Championship (Stephanie McMahon)

My rosters are pretty damn unique lol, it's mostly a modern roster throughout all 3 brands with a few legends mixed in, like Ric Flair, Cactus Jack, New Age Outlaws, Headbangers, etc.

Just had a really interesting moment on Raw. CM Punk vs Number 1 Contender John Cena, after Punk won, Kane came out and assaulted Cena, and then Punk scared Kane off. Punk's a heel, and Cena and Kane are faces lol.

Yeah, Hogan was totally playing Goldberg... walked out on him during their match against DDP and Luger. But, Goldberg, being the beast he is, managed to pull out the victory despite the handicap.

Also on that show, the Bulldogs vs LOD feud hit a new level of vicious with a tornado table match that ended when Hawk moved the table at the last moment and Dynamite eliminated the Bulldogs when he superplexed Animal - as it was him going through the table while Animal cleared it entirely. This feud has been awesome - cutscenes galore. Perhaps my favourite cutscene so far was Dynamite rushing in to prevent Hawk from attacking a beaten Davey Boy with a chair after their singles match. Very cool. In just about every match LOD totally jumps the Bulldogs. If the Bulldogs can win the title at the next ppv... the crowd is going to go crazy. LOD are playing the heel perfectly.

Can I just have 2 rosters (2 major 2 minor shows) that share 1 championship belt? I dont know why, but having all these belts confuses me, Im kinda old school I want 1 champion belt and 2 minor (Hardcore and Intercontinental) the Tag belt and a Diva belt.

Im still a noob but this game is great. I made 1 CAW and stable, called The Nation

I'm finding just 15 to an upper limit of 20 works great b/c everyone is booked and doing something meaningful and the WTF? moments are fewer. And that leads to fewer simmed matches and fewer changed matches - and that means more cut scenes. If you have minor shows, put the 'curtain jerkers' and jobbers there and if you want them to make an appearance on the big show you can move them there when you want them there.

I read on another board that putting everyone on 1 roster was the way to go too! I really just want 1 champion, and the Hardcore champ, Tag Team, and Diva champ and make it feel like winning a belt is meaningful. So I think Im going to make 1 roster (reset my Universe, please dont reset my CAW move set) with 2 major shows and 2 minor shows and 1 PPV a month.

Well Extreme Rules is over and I have a bunch of new unlocked wrestlers, and im trying to figure out where I want to progress from here. I have considered creating a new "brand", but I dont really wanna have an Attitude Era roster, and a current roster, since I like mixing them up. But as of now, I think I have too many wrestlers and not enough matches per week.

I do have a few ideas that I wanna go into though. We shall see how it plays out.
