Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Not making excuses, just letting ya know. I appreciate that you're reading up on it, I knew you were. Just hadn't gotten much feedback, and (honestly) I'd only done the blog because when I first joined all my posts had to be mod approved, lol.
I should have week 2 up in the next day or two.Comment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Quick question...
When you click on Match Creator, it obviously tells you that changing the rules will cancel the storylines. But can you still change the environment?... such as interference on/off and other stuff on that screen?
I've assumed so up until now but was just wondering if anyone knew for sure?Comment

The Journey To The ROYAL RUMBLE...
Who's Prediction Will Come True?
With surprises aside the Royal Rumble match nears with several superstars coming out guaranteeing that they will be the last one left when the Rumble is over, but we've heard this before from so many of them and only few come through so as Jeff Hardy,Kurt Angle,Big Show,Mark Henry and of course Antonio Cesaro have all made their announcements of being the one to headline WrestleMania with the WWE Undisputed Champion the anticipation is at an all-time high for so many veteran competitors clashing with a new group of up and comers that this Rumble will be very memorable no matter who the winner is
Joe Changes Punk's Rumble Plans
Samoa Joe returned from an unknown injury he suffered during a match on Smackdown right after Survivor Series to make sure CM Punk did not forget about him and their unfinished business which he plans on settling at the Royal Rumble, but even with this match Punk has entered himself into the Royal Rumble match later that evening as was his plan before Joe's return who is still holding on to the Money In The Bank contract
The League's Crosshairs Centered On WWE
What started out as just United States Champion Antonio Cesaro & Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler making a statement by teaming together and forming The League became so much more of a message to John Cena and more importantly the entire WWE when Wade Barrett & Bobby Roode joined the new faction by attacking Cena making it crystal clear that they have all intents of taking over the WWE by capturing every title and laying waste to all who oppose starting with Cena,The Miz and Rey Mysterio, but only promising that these attacks were just the beginning as Vince McMahon granted a match-up between Ziggler & Cena for the Royal Rumble as well as a Tag Team Championship match for Barrett & Roode against The Dudley's on that same night and to further their mission Cesaro added himself to the 30 Man Royal Rumble to gain a title match at WrestleMania for the WWE Undisputed Championship and if they succeed then The League would surely be on top of the WWE
Sheamus Starts The New Year By Fighting Lesnar
Sheamus kicked off the first Raw of the year by starting a fight with the WWE Undisputed Champion Brock Lesnar and ever since then the feud between these two has gotten out of control with both of them wanting to get a piece of each other, but they won't have to wait long as Sheamus will collide with Lesnar for the championship at the Royal Rumble which is sure to be a battle for the agesPHILLIES

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
I have a question about drafts.
I'm getting ready to start a Universe (my first) with the WWE, WCW and ECW. Each company has 2 tv shows (a major and a minor each) and they all have their own rosters of 40-50 wrestlers each (no crossovers). If I leave the draft option on, will wrestlers get drafted to different companies when the time comes?Chicago Bears
Chicago Blackhawks
Chicago Bulls
Chicago White Sox
Indiana Hoosiers

CM Punk talked the talk, but couldn't stop Samoa Joe from gaining the advantage and choking him out for the long awaited victory
Ziggler was turning the tables on Cena constantly, but just when everyone thought Ziggler was finished he nailed a Zig Zag out of nowhere to take out Cena and win the match for himself and The League
Sheamus came thundering in to tonight ready for a fight and got just what he came for,but Lesnar still came out on top of the brutal bout between these two brawlers and left the Rumble still WWE's Undisputed Champion
After a couple close calls with Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger,Kurt Angle was able to fight them off and then sent Big Show over the top rope to win the Royal Rumble and head to WrestleMania's Main Event to challenge for the WWE Undisputed ChampionshipPHILLIES

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
My Universe is "WWE Of The Future". Specifically, what WWE may look like in five years. To create this, I set up a few rules:
I dropped everyone that was 33 years old or older at the time I started it. So, just to knock out the big names, no Cena, Sheamus, Punk, or Alberto Del Rio, and certainly no Mark Henry, Undertaker, etc.. I chose 33 as my line in the sand specifically to see what it would be like if most if not all of the current top tier was retired.
I originally allowed myself usage of any free agent, which I defined as "anyone not signed to TNA". After downloading what was basically half of the NXT roster, as well as seeing how hard it is to tell if TNA has someone signed (anyone else think Brutus Magnus had been cut until he appeared on TV a bit back), I decided to try to make it "all WWE or NXT unless otherwise needed". As an aside, my "free agent" list included John Morrison, Alex Shelley, Jay Lethal, Brutus Magnus, and Sarita, all of whom I cycled out of the Universe eventually.
With two exceptions, all current tag teams have been broken up, as I don't expect tag teams to last five years. My two exceptions - Epico and Primo (convenience more than anything else; I may split them soon next time I have to do "brand trades" to keep the balance), and The Usos (because I absolutely LOVE their doubleteam entrance, and I don't want to waste the money I spent on the DLC).
WWE still has Raw and Smackdown, and I am still enforcing the brand extension. It is somewhat difficult to implement what they have currently, where the titles are fairly "brand exclusive" but wrestlers really show up whereever they want to. Both Raw and Smackdown have a "B-Show" dedicated entirely to them (NXT for Raw, Superstars for Smackdown).
Monday Night Raw:
- WWE Champ: Dolph Ziggler - Ziggler is now "The Man". He is a Shawn Michaels' face and, though others have wrested the belt away from him, it has almost always come back. Basically, he is now Cena.
- IC Champ: Broadus Clay - Though he and the Funkadactyls have gone their separate ways (though they are still Allies) and he has returned to his more serious roots, he has been one of the longest running champs I've had. He almost never rises in the rankings (at least not enough for him to be labelled "above the title"), but he consistently wins the defenses (including against Randy Orton when he fell far enough to be in the IC Title race). His next defense is against Dean Ambrose, who has waited for his chance to move up the card since dropping the tag titles and being split from his then partner Bray Wyatt.
- Tag Champs: The A-List Clique (David Otunga and Roman Reigns w/ Tamina). I downloaded Reigns, Ambrose, and Rollins when I first started this project as they were the "hottest prospects" in NXT at the time. Reigns was managed by Tamina, and the game hooked Tamina and Otunga up via cutscene, which is where the stable came from. They are currently feuding with The Chick Magnets (Zach Ryder and Kofi Kingston, both of whom attempted to move into World title contention unsuccessfully)
- Women's Champ: Tamina. The third of three title holders in the A-List Clique, Tamina has taken over Beth Phoenix's role of "physically dominant heel champ". I'm still waiting to see whether or not Paige (just moved from Smackdown with her own stable, the Awesome Ones (w/ Heath Slater and Corey Graves) or Kaitlyn rises to challenge her.
- Top Tier: Ryback (former world champ), Darren Young (who has ironically become Ziggler to Dolph's Cena - he wins every match UNLESS he's facing Ziggler), and Randy Orton (who has just risen back up after falling a bit down the card).
- Other Tag Teams: The Empire of Pain (Sakamoto & Jinder Mahal), Justin Gabriel and Michael McGillicutty, The United Kingdom (Adrian Neville and Drew McIntyre).
- Other Superstars: Conor O'Brien, Alex Riley, Tyson Kidd, Leo Kruger, Fandango
- Other Divas: Cameron Lynn, Sasha Banks, Summer Rae
Friday Night Smackdown
- World Champ: Seth Rollins - He worked his way up with a great run as US Champ, and has supplanted The Miz as the #1 Face on Smackdown. Currently feuding with Richie Steamboat, who tried to do it the "right way", did NOT make it as far as Rollins, and has become corrupted (along with Sin Cara) by Cody Rhodes as the new stable The Fallen.
- US Champion: Daniel Bryan. The US Title bounced around a bit after Steamboat lost it, and Bryan is trying to restore stability. Currently feuding with Wade Barrett.
- Tag Champs: The Usos. They've simply been dominant, which, if you have a 100 tag rating and the only other team with that - the Ascension - breaks up, is understandable. Currently feuding with the newest version of Legacy - Bo Dallas and Jake Carter.
- Diva's Champion: Natalya - the submission specialists seem to do a lot better in my setup. After repeatedly beating "good buddy" AJ (i.e. turning on her and taking her title), she is now ready to try to swat down Naomi's run at her championship.
- Other Top-Tier: The Miz (who lost a HIAC World Title match to Seth Rollins without turning on him to cement Rollins as top face, Antonio Cesaro
- Other Tag Teams: The Madness (Xavier Woods and Percy Watson), Havoc (Wade Barrett and Santino Marella, who has reverted from his comedic roots to an MMA specialist in a manner closer to his real life training)
- Other Talent: Jack Swagger, Big E Langston, Luke Harper, Ricardo Rodrigiuez, Bray Wyatt
- Other Divas: Audrey Marie, Alicia Fox, Aksana
I may post some cards and stuff when I hit a logical starting point (i.e. a PPV).Comment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Wow, that is a fantastic idea you have there, JAM.
Makes for a really interesting read in my opinion, what with all the new tag teams, gimmick flips (Brodus/Santino) and fresh NXT talent (even Sakamoto and Ricardo, haha). Seeing guys like Darren Young rising to the top tells me you have some crazy stuff going on, and I'm wondering whether you were in control of how that all came about.
Cheers man, I'm excited to see you get going with it.Comment
