Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Well I just write it up like it was a show to make me keep interest in universe mode sometimes works sometimes doesn't as the CPU booking is bad. I try to follow anything the CPU has booked but bam it then books stupid matches like tag teams with other peoples tag partners vs their own partner with a random person in their team. Or someone who has no reason to be in the match set up ends up being there. The booking is awful but I can sometimes find a way to write about it lol however stupid it looks to make the match up or storyline sound better. One example never wanted Road Dogg and Billy to split but they did anyway. I sometimes just book my own matches when a non interesting one is booked like a jobber vs another jobber.
Hoping my MITB Winner will make me able to write up more stuff as I reset my Universe which I regret but I thought I would just start over again.Last edited by wwefan; 05-07-2013, 02:13 PM.Comment

Yeah the CPU bookings are stupid. I go with my own storylines for the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania. The other PPV's I use some of the CPU storylines. I am currently 5 weeks away from WrestleMania so it's going to be great.Comment

I still dabble around with WWE 13 when I have nothing going on, but MLB 13 The Show & NBA 2K13 are occupying a majority of my limited gaming time.
In the weeks leading up to WWE 2K14, I'll probably play a lot of WWE 13 again.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
I still like Universe mode, I haven't posted anything, as I've mainly been trying to figure out the workings of the Universe mode. I do like reading your guys progress though. Dude's right about the 'notebook' though!
It takes a lot of work, and you really have to watch or play ALL of the matches (well the CPU feud generated ones at least - go to match creator, and try to edit - it will tell you if it's a feud or not).
It's best if you let those weird Tag team bouts take place, it usually leads to something back related to the original feud, but yeah...other times it wants to create a new tag team of Goldberg and Ryder (didn't really happen, but I turned off the 'team making/break up' scripts). even so, it still does stupid things like that. HAwk v. Animal (not what I want!!).
I'm almost at my first Mania. Got EC still to go. It's taken me this long to finally get some good feuds going, but now it's humming along well.
I've got Bret and Austin in a 2+month long feud, and I hope I can continue it thru Mania. I've got Rock v. RVD v. HBK in a constant battle for the IC title. I've also finally got Punk and Y2J going on a feud also, since Punk lost the title a while back in a 4way. The Shield is kinda running rampant too, which is cool.
I've been using some of the other show-days to test the logic, with custom shows, so I don't screw up my 'good' shows (RAW, SD). After almost a game-year worth of playing/watching, I'm finally getting cutscenes, so I think I'm on to something. It's just unfortunate how much you have to put in to it. And I still haven't seen any branching, but I haven't used many of the Attitude stars that it's built around (corporation, mankind (I use Cactus on ECW, etc).
I use RAW for the 'big boys' and my all-time faves. Basically people who would look 'ok' with the WWE belt.
I use SD for my 'Dusty' show. It uses traditionally SD stars - like Brock, Edge/Christian, RKO, ADR, Ziggler, DBry. I blend these in with my all time favorite NWA/WCW/TNA stars (esp those who wouldn't look right w/ a WWE title). Basically it's like if Dusty was my commish and he ran SD like NWA, with SD roster and my non-WWE favorites! I removed the US title and put on the Light Heavyweight. I like it being tracked. This is where the 'fun' guys go (japan guys, luchadors etc. - so they have a belt to fight for.
I really like how I have RAW (current and all time classics) now, and SD (as a WCW/NWA/SD hybrid, with attention to the Light Heavyweights)
I made a WCW show as like a 'training ground'. If CAWs or others do well there, or are fun to use, I'll move to SD. It uses WCW and WCW-US titles. I had the cruiserweights here, but when AJ Styles won, he took the belt and moved to SD. I may add an untracked cruiser later.
also have an ECW and a Legends show. the ECW is what I use to test how the feuds work. The legends is just cuz I had a few old timers, and I thought it'd be cool to see the red, white, and Blue ropes w/ Hogan, Sheik, Warrior, and all that. These are just holding grounds for CAWS and others, that I can't devote time to.
I use ECW and WCW to 'hold' some stars that I will want to introduce later - like Goldberg or someone I want to make a big splash. I mainly use these shows on auto-pilot, and just observe how the CPU works its booking. I try to keep all rosters around 20-30 (too many WILL get messy), and I don't use Divas.Last edited by BLA7E; 05-08-2013, 05:12 PM.Comment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
4 Weeks to go until WrestleMania 29.
Ken Shamrock won the Royal Rumble so that is why he is facing CM Punk for the WWE Championship.
JBL won the World Title at Royal Rumble. He is the leader of The Ascension who have been together since April or May. The stable consists of JBL, Ziggler, Faarooq. Swagger was a part of it but turned on JBL the SmackDown after Royal Rumble and won a #1 Contender match at One Night Only to earn him a World Title match at WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar and Goldberg had a staredown on SmackDown this past week.
Bret Hart turned heel by costing Edge his match this past week on Raw.
Ted DiBiasie qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.Comment

I love the universe mode and how it forms a life of its own. I hope 2K keeps the mode and builds on it. Has anyone done the Draft? I'm thinking about doing it once my first year is up. My favorite aspect of universe mode is the forming of tag teams, depending on if I like the team I firm a stable.

Extreme Rules
Extreme Rules Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship:
Santino Marella(c) vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Antonio Cesaro
Preview: Jinder Mahal has dominated Raw for the past several weeks, earning a US title shot as a result. Antonio Cesaro has also looked imoressive, winning a battle royal on Superstars to earn a spot in this match.
The odds were certainly stacked against Santino in this match. The three went back and forth, exchanging momentum and punishment. Jinder introduced the first weapons into the match, in the form of a steel chair and a kendo stick, then a garbage can. Cesaro and Mahal began to gang up on Marella. Antonio beat Santino up with a mop, only to be hip tossed through the garbage can. Santino eventually was busted wide open by a chair shot. The action continued, with Jinder being busted open by a bulldog from Santino. Cesaro was also busted open by a DDT from Jinder. Ultimately, a bloody Antonio hit the Neutralizer on Jinder to win and become new US champion.
Tornado Tag Team Ladder Match for the Tag Team Championship: Kofi and R Truth vs. Primo and Epico
Preview: For weeks, it was a mystery: who would be the #1 contender for the Tag Championship? The New Age Outlaws beat Ziggler and Swagger, who beat Team Cobro. Then the Outlaws lost to Primo and Epico via a rollup, and this match was announced. Two high flying teams get to showcase their abilities in a tag team ladder match. All four men were flying around the arena, hitting high impact maneuvers. Primo and Epico nearly grasped the gold several times. Kofi would hit a Trouble in Paradise on Primo, and unhook the championships to retain.
Fatal Four Way Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus (c) vs. John Cena vs. Ryback vs. Daniel Bryan
Preview: For weeks, several challengers emerged for the World Heavyweight Championship. Ryback attacked the champ Sheamus and John Cena during a match between the two on Smackdown. Daniel Bryan won a gauntlet match to enter this match.
This match was absolute mayhem, with all 4 superstars using the cage to destroy each other. Daniel Bryan nearly escaped early on, but Cena stopped him. Bryan then stopped Ryback from escaping. Then, Ryback stopped Sheamus' escape attempt. Cena was busted open by a kick from Bryan. Cena then stopped Bryan's escape attempt. Cena and Sheamus tried to escape a the same time. Bryan stopped Sheamus, but Ryback was knocked away by Cena. Cena escaped the cage to become the new champion.
Champion vs. Champion Table Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Miz (c) vs. Internet Champion Zack Ryder
Miz stole a win over Ryder 48 hours ago on Smackdown via a rollup, can he win here to retain the championship?
Both champions went to war, trying to put each other through the table. Ryder went for a splash through the table, but Miz moved, sending Ryder through the wood. Ryder made this mistake twice, to the dismay of the Tampa crowd. Miz was also sent through a table after Ryder rolled of of one as Miz attempted an elbow drop. Ryder was sent through another table, missing an elbow drop. Miz went through another table as well.Ryder was busted open after Miz sent him head first into the steel ringpost. Miz would hit the Dominator through the table to retain.
Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix vs. Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie attacked Beth backstage prematch, and hit a Pedigree to win and become new champion.
Special Referee Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Championship
CM Punk (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio
Referee: Steve Austin
Del Rio defeated Randy Orton to become #1 contender. ADR then beat Shawn Michaels. Last week, ADR defeated Punk with Steve Austin watching at ringside. After the match, now-new Divas Champion Stephanie McMahon walked to ring side, and kissed Del Rio.
Austin walked to ringside, sporting his classic T shirt and jean shorts.Del Rio was so nit-picky, he made Justin Roberts introduce him after Ricardo did his usual introduction. Del Rio and Punk put on an instant classic, epic match. Austin called the match down the middle, except for bickering with Punk and Del Rio all match long. Del Rio constantly targeted Punk's arm, hoping to set up the cross armbreaker. Punk escaped the Cross Armbreaker. The fight spilled to the outside. The two exchanged hits with a kendo stick. ADR then brutalized Punk with a crutch. Punk then hit Del Rio repeatedly with a steel chair, but ADR returned the favor. Del Rio pushed Austin into Punk, whose attempt to hit Del Rio with a trash can hit Austin. Austin was livid. Austin hit the Stunner on Punk, and fast counted the pin to make Del Rio the new champion. After the match, Austin hit the Stunner on ADR to prove he's on no one's side.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust
