Or at least, that's what's worked for me so far.
I just tried that, plus I just noticed I can shuffle around the rankings for each title to however I want them, so I'm going to see if I can use that to get some more realistic matchups. Plus, I'm using almost entirely created guys and I haven't really set any rivals or allies, I think that is why I'm getting such random matches

Not really sure what is going on but i am at the Royal Rumble, everything was going great then i exit out after my co-main event was over to set up the Royal Rumble and when i go to start it by pressing play it takes me to the loading screen and well it doesn't freeze because i can still press the PS button and go to all the menu stuff but it won't go past the loading screen, i have tried to get it to work 4 times now and the longest i have waited is about 25 minutes. Not really sure what to do, i really don't want to sim the RR.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

Sorry for being OT, but I'm thinking about getting this game.

Is it good? Or should I wait until maybe Christmas before I spend 60 dollars on this game? I already have games like Black Ops 2 and Borderlands 2, and I'm thinking about getting Halo 4.

Also, if I get it, what shows, etc. should I do? I feel like keeping Raw and SD on Monday and Friday, but I want to have maybe two other shows for each show to showcase the lower card talent.

Also, I was thinking that me and my younger brother (by about a year) usually are the "GM" of each show. He usually makes the matches on RAW and I make the matches on SD. So if I get the game, would you guys think it would be cool if I just post SD updates or just RAW updates?

        Thanks in advance.

          Is it good?

Well, you're asking in a thread of people playing this game, getting so involved in it that we're essentially writing fan fiction about our ongoing storylines and PPV's.

Yes, I would say that it's good. It's not perfect by any means, but I feel that the WWE series has been headed in the right direction the past few years, and this year is no exception. Attitude Era may be my favorite ever "career" mode, I love the Universe Mode (although I am slightly disappointed in some aspects of it), I love the roster, and I love the improvements to the in ring game.

          What shows should you do?

Whatever shows you want. You have so much customization in Universe Mode, you can create as many (or as few) shows as you want. You can have one show a week, or a show every day of the week. I am personally keeping only Raw and Smackdown (although I do think I am going to add a 3rd low card show for the wrestlers that I don't really care to use, so they are at least in my Universe Mode). So if you wanna add 2 other shows to the mix, then I say go for it!

What stories should you post on here?

Whatever you feel you want to talk about. Only wanna talk about your stories on Smackdown? Then just post those. Wanna talk about what your brother is also doing over on Raw? Go for it! In the past, I've done it where myself and a friend or brother each get a show, and then we have our own draft, selecting the superstars that we want on our own shows.

So to answer your questions - you should do whatever you want. Seriously, that's what's great about WWE Universe Mode. It's totally up to you!

Hope you enjoy the game, and if you get it, hope to see you sharing your stories in here!

So I just unlocked some more people from the unscripted, and I'm a bit torn...

Do I use Bradshaw, and bring in the APA??

Or do I keep him solo as JBL, and not use the APA?

Just to be clear, this isn't a go at you, it's actually something that I have considered as well, although I don't play by it.

For me, I consider these guys "characters" in a work of fiction (let's be real here, these guys are just glorified stuntmen putting on live theater), so I have guys like British Bulldog, Big Bossman, and Eddie Guerrero who are dead in real life, but to me, their characters can live on.

But in the past, I have considered that "realistic to compete" mentality... Obviously, guys like The Rock, HBK... they can still compete. How would you consider Bret Hart? He's been on TV and PPV's recently, so I feel okay putting him on my rosters even using that criteria. What about Edge? I mean, he's young and overall healthy enough to compete, but he has the neck injuries. JBL?

Like I said, I'm just curious, I think it's actually an interesting idea, although I pretty much just use the guys I like regardless.

                Depends on what you want.

I typically keep the default feuds / alliances, with only certain changes in certain exceptions. If you have them set already, the game will have something to work off of. If you leave them blank, you'll get cutscenes, but the game won't have as much to work with, and you may have to do more to get the game to trigger feuds and stories.
I haven't really used the AE guys apart from the ones that essentially haven't changed too much like Rikishi, Foley, Scotty, Billy Gunn even.

I don't usually use deceased superstars in Universe just for realism, but I might bring them in once or twice for novelty value.

An example of how I think is making Farooq (Ron Simmons) active, but with slightly reduced stats, and pairing him with JBL, not Bradshaw.

                      June | Week 1

                      Monday Night Raw

                      Triple H def. The Miz
With Miz feuding with DX the past few weeks, the Intercontinental Champion faced off head to head against Triple H. With the ref knocked out early, Shawn Michaels ran down and gave Miz some Sweet Chin Music, waking up the referee just in time to count Triple H the winner.

Lita def. Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus

                      New Age Outlaws def. APA

                      #1 Contenders Match
                      Mankind v. Dolph Ziggler
                      No Contest

Brock Lesnar convinced himself that he is the true #1 contender and didn't take kindly to being left out of this match. He laid both men out ringside.

The Corporation came to the ring to celebrate their sweep over Team Laurinaitis at Over The Limit. David Otunga interrupted the party, upset over his loss to Shane McMahon. John Laurinaitis came to the ring under the guise of calming Otunga, but instead it led to a brawl, with Otunga laying out the McMahons. Eve came ringside to celebrate with Otunga and Laurinaitis.

                      Friday Night Smackdown

Eve def. Stephanie McMahon via DQ
Stephanie McMahon returned to Smackdown just in time to face off against Eve, after she aided David Otunga and John Laurinaitis in their attack on her dad and brother on Raw. Otunga stood ringside in Eve's corner, while Shane McMahon stood in support of his sister. The referee threw the match out after saying that Shane McMahon was too involved in the match when he climbed up on the apron and was seen lowering the rope as Eve was irish whipped towards it. The United States Champion tried to argue the referee's decision, but it was all in vain, as David Otunga and Eve walked off in celebration.

Bret Hart came to the ring, challenging Stone Cold to a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship. Considering the brutality the 2 men endured in their I Quit match at Over The Limit, Bret Hart proposed a new stipulation for Capital Punishment: Hell In A Cell. Austin came to the ring and accepted the rematch, and in typical Stone Cold Steve Austin fashion, delivered a Stunner to his opponent before walking out of the ring.

                      #1 Contender's Match
                      New Age Outlaws v. D-Generation X
                      Double Countout
In a #1 Contender's Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship, the 2 DX tag teams faced off against each other. The match spilled to the outside, and stayed there, the 2 teams brawling so much that the match was thrown out in a double count out. The WWE Tag Team Championship remains without a #1 contender.

                      Edge def. Mark Henry
Edge faced off against Mark Henry in his first match back on Smackdown, and picked up the victory. After the match, Edge's long time friend Christian came to the ring to celebrate with him and welcome him back.

                      Steel Cage Match
Alberto Del Rio def. Randy Orton

Even with 20 man rosters I've been finding the booking kinda frustrating lately as guys like Grandmaster Sexay and X-Pac have had big pushes and I cannot get The Rock or Undertaker any time at all on Raw. So I've added two new brands and shows and am going to really try to limit each show to 15 guys I want to see on the shows. So I have WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown , WCW, ECW, TNA, and AWA.

CRAZY! I was just sitting here at work thinking..as much as I like have 1 overall champion (Undisputed Champ over 2 rosters) Im not getting as diverse a schedueling that I would like to see. So I thought about making 2 new rosters and having 4 major belts 4 minor 2 tag belts and 2 diva belts. Seems like too many belts with no overall champ which is a pet peeve of mines but oh well I'll have to get over it!

mcavner..are you going to have any of these rosters share belts? Or just completely have them seperate? How would you work out your PPVs? Does the CPU Generate more or do we have to create them every month (no biggie, just asking?)

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

                                Some more NXT changes:

European Championship vacated, WWE Light Heavyweight Championship added as the minor belt. Justin Gabriel won the belt in a simulated Fatal-4 Way Ladder Match against Heath Slater, Epico, and Hunico.

I also unlocked some extra tag team belts, and I added the World Tag Team Championship ('02-'10) belt as NXT's tag belts. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth won the belts in a simulated match against Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger.

                                So NXT is currently:

                                WWE Internet Champion: Zack Ryder
WWE Light Heavyweight Champion: Justin Gabriel
WWE World Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston & R-Truth
                                WWE Divas Champion: Nikki Bella

So far I have just been simulating all of my NXT matches, which I may continue to do since it's my roster for guys I don't really care for.
