Genadi Release version 1 of his 2001 RW Mod.

He also released a fantasy version of it with WCW active (I assume ECW as well) So this is great for me as I wait for a more complete version of other RW mods (preferably Current day) while I try to keep ECW strong in my alternate universe in 2001!

You guys that are plugging away on this are you using the included database or real world mods? Not sure which way I might want to go.

I'm using Cpt. Charisma's real world. Of course, it's up to you, but I can tell you what, if you have a dynasty on this site, I will read it.

I've never played any version of this game. How accessible is it for a complete noob? It seems pretty complex at a glance, much more complex than WWE '13's universe mode. I have a general sense of what the player is supposed to do, but I'm wondering how easy it is to get into the game and figure out what to do and how to do it.

I've also heard that past versions are click fests. How true is that of the 2013 version?

I've never dived into the TEW world, but due to WWE 13's poor showing, I'm thinking about taking the jump. But, I'm also a CPU vs CPU guy. I love booking matches, and watching the outcome. Is that possible in TEW?

I know a few PC Wrestling sims, you determine the winner, which to me, can be boring with no excitement or "surprise" outcomes. So will TEW auto gen the outcome based on wrestler stats?

            Thanks!

You can't watch the matches, but you can book them. You can have TEW decide who wins your matches if you don't want. Try the demo. I know it can be a bit tough to figure out, but it's definitely worthwhile.

Very complex, but accessible, IMO. The best way to figure it out for yourself is to take the demo and see for yourself.

I probably would say that it's a clickfest, although they have tried to reduce the number of clicks, but it's a hard thing to do in a text sim.

I downloaded the DEMO and was playing around with it today. Definitely tough to figure out. Still in January and haven't figured out how to schedule any matches or if I can have an "assistant" do that.

One thing I do need help with is running angles. What is a good length for an angle that is ran under a sports entertainment type of brand? I know I probably can turn on the dirt sheet to reveal if a angle is too short or too long but I really dont want to.

And is it wise to run a promo/angle after every match? Also are the transition angles worth using?

Finally got the game and the first thing I did was see if I could sign Ric Flair to the WWF in the Golden Age mod. I was successful and now the real game begins. Now I don't know if I build to Hogan vs Flair at WrestleMania IV, or keep them as far apart as possible and do it at WrestleMania V.

                          Decisions, decisions!

Do a year long build between them. Not necessarily outright between the two but have it simmering to a big build. They deserve it.

I think instead of doing Piper/Hogan at WM IV like I originally planned, I'll just insert Flair in the feud for Piper and let Piper do something else.

DiBiase vs Savage and Flair vs Hogan as the Main Events of WrestleMania IV? *drools*

Of course then again it all matters if Hogan/Flair don't have bad chemistry. :-/

The WWF signed Ric Flair in May 1987, culminating with a Hulk Hogan/Flair match for the belt at WrestleMania IV. Jim Crockett Promotions is floundering with Dusty Rhodes as the top face, and Nikita Koloff holding both the NWA United States and NWA World Heavyweight titles, the latter of which was vacated after Flair left, at the same time. NJPW and AJPW are battling it out over in Japan, with each side stealing talent (workers and staff alike). This game is so enthralling once you get into it.
