    Thinking about purchasing the game

Been debating on purchasing WWE13. Been reading on the forums with some of these Universes. Getting me really interested. But I have a few questions and was wondering if the WWE 13 community might help me. I am a PS3 owner. I was looking at the DLC and couldn't find any in the PS3 store.

Also reading in the forums. Where people have had Hogan in their universes. I haven't seen him on roster or in DLC. Are people allowed to create wrestlers and then are others able to d/l those people creations?

Any help would be appreciated guys. Thank you ahead of time.

I believe dlc is only listed through the in game menu

Hogan is not in the game. He is created and uploaded where other can download him and other wrestlers, logos, arenas, special moves and move sets.

I say rent the game first unless you find it really cheap. The ai is horrid.

yea hogans not in the game but u can d/l him threw the community creations thats in the game.... the only bad thing is theres alot of times u cant get on that to d/l anything.

if u played 12 its basically the same game except a few things in added in like the OMG Moments and they redid the I Quit match.

they also added in the Attitude era where u get play threw some moments from that era as well.

Re: Thinking about purchasing the game

Have been reading through some reviews today. Not really reading any +'s except the "Attitude Era" part of the game. I am a PS3 owner. Have read where just playing this game it takes up 7GB of space on the HD, where as the lucky 360 owners only get 200mb occupied. Great game work it sounds like. Also have seen where the sound mechanics are flawed, to where you don't know if the next scene entrance is going to be loud or quiet.

Going to continue reading and see where this takes me. Bought a WWE game before a few years back and regretted it. Don't want to do the same here. Any other info would be appreciated.

Pass on the game until they fix the one count glitch. You RARELY ever get a two count on the CPU unless its a leverage pin. That is the most annoying thing about WWE 13 and why I have not played it in months. It takes away from the game because you know if you get a two count, 99% of the time you are going to get the three.

I also have been thinking of picking this up but have read a lot of negatives about the game. I have 12 and had a lot of fun booking and watching CPU v CPU. Has anyone who had 12 think 13 is better for doing that type of thing? Thanks!

Re: Thinking about purchasing the game

This is the first wrestling game I bought since the N64 and I've been completely entertained. I rented a few in between and was extremely disappointed. This games almost got me back into watching wrestling again

There's sliders to make the game competive. I personally treat each match like a sim, meaning i don't spam buttons and I usually make sure the match hits all realistic spots. On top of that, the CAWs are real accurate and the attitude mode definitely gives you a sense of nostalgia

              I definitely recommend it

Just bought this last night and I do not regret what so ever. I am a CPU b CPU guy and I have seen some awesome matches and I have yet to mess with any sliders or attributes yet. I have seen 2 counts which when I read about that it kinda bothered me but I have seen them in all my matches so far. I gonna love this game for what it's worth.

It'll probably be $5-$10 in about 2 weeks.

It's all I do and it sucks. The same 5-6 cut scenes and the stories make no sense. I thought THQ created some crazy Universe with the way their commercials made it sound. I skipped 11 and 12 so I assumed this would be light years beyond 10.

Don't get me wrong. I still mess with the game but it has no stories whatsoever. I am not sure why it even asks me if I want them turned on or not.

I have seen none of these: Non-PPV Stories (not sure what this is), Team Forming/Disbanding (I think this is when random teams are formed that make no sense), Crowd Reaction Changing (never seen), or Injury (never seen). Is this seriously the only stories THQ created? Thankfully I only paid $20 for it.

EDIT: I only use Original CAWs not based on any RL wrestlers. Does this make a difference?

It's a decent game. I'd wait for the inevitable price drop since this might be the last WWE game for a while. The DLC is good, but not worth $20. I only paid that because I wanted DDP and Goldust. But if you get PS Plus you can get it for $10. I like the game, but it is pretty stale, which is why I am glad 2k is taking over. It's fun for a while, especially if you have buds to play it with. I like it, but I wouldn't pay $80 for the game/dlc. Wait til it drops. Universe mode is awful, but AE mode is great and lasts a while. I recommend it, as it is the best WWE game, IMO, since SVR06.
