Universe mode getting worse

Is universe mode starting to get unplayable to everyone, and/or you always seem to reset it?

This is the third year/game in a row that I just don't see the appeal of Universe Mode. Hardly seeing any cutscenes or anything that makes it seem like anything more than matches for the sake of matches.

With everything playing out like it is, it's not shocking that the game developers didn't put out a innovative product. They knew any chance of a franchise was gone. All they had to do was get a game out before Christmas


On the other hand, some people want the game to make them breakfast and tuck them in at night. I'm good with the game, and didn't anticipate it would change my life. It definitely entertains though

i agree im in yr 4 and only cutscenes i have got are same ones in yr 1 a wrestler comes out attacks wrestler before match or after match in ring or they come out and raise the wrestlers hand. i liked the older games where u could walk around and depending on who u talk to u would get a backstage brawl or parking lot brawl and by doing different stuff would unlock stuff. i've yet to see anybody come out from like crowd and get in ring and start fighting guys like in past wwe games and also miss out on the button where if u pressed it your partner would come out and help. to me once u play first yr universe mode is useless.

The problem is that they had us expecting much more due to somewhat over hyping and a tad bit of false advertising.

Not so much. This is not a new game franchise by THQ. Yes, they are done but they haven't done anything to story lines in years. The same stale stories that go nowhere. I don't want it to make me bacon (that would be cool though). I want it to give me branching stories like they say it would. Attitude Era is a good idea but I saw that crap live. Not interested in playing it. LOL

Every time I get this game after a few years off I am told it is fixed and the stories will be great. I spend hours making CAWs and nothing happens. I created my own shows and belts and I get very little in variety. Is this because it only truly works in Attitude Era mode and with the baseline rosters?

Oh, and as for not putting out an innovative product...what do you call Attitude Era Mode? That took some innovation, I think.

I like it. I've only gotten two interactive cutscenes so far but I like it otherwise.

The kicker which has just came to my knowledge is including RL and AE wrestlers. I only used CAWs before. I simmed the first month after the reset. I have seen two cut scenes I have never seen before in the first show. We will see if my CAWs can keep up with AE wrestlers.
