The Check Bounced - The Re-Takeover of WWE

This is a re-launch of an earlier thread that I started. I got motivated to do this the right way. It's very difficult to take a sport like wrestling and make it your own. There are storylines and feuds that we have grown up watching and to mess with those just isn't right. You have to make it your own, otherwise it won't work and more importantly it won't be fun. That said, this is not a competing thread with SOUNDTHEALARM's, if the two of us were in a contest, I'd finish in 3rd place. Enjoy!

Here is the earlier thread, in case you want to have a quick recap

    http://www.operationsports.com/forum...d.php?t=607690

"A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon Stroud

Thanks for the shoutout man, I'm glad that I have inspired you to restart your universe with storylines and feuds of your own. I agree that it does simply make it much more enjoyable not only as the reader, but as the writer as well. Its a bit more work, but the finished product is so worth it.

As far as it being a competition, I wouldn't think of it that way. I am interested in seeing how each of us take our universes in different directions. Now, if one of us started a storyline, then the other posts the exact same storyline with different fighters, there might be something to be said lol

So, have fun with it, don't limit your imagination, and I will be following. Good luck.

      The Rosters Are Announced

The rosters have been finalized and are about to be announced. Let me first start off by saying that the created wrestlers were done by some very talented individuals that graciously uploaded these to the Creation Center. The CAW's really add that final awesome touch to an already great game, for all your work...THANK YOU!!

Some of you may be surprised by names on these lists. The is always time to add more names, again, the beauty of creating your own universe. One thing I did want to mention was that once I started looking at the CAWs I realized how many TNA wrestlers there are that are big draws. I can't watch TNA Impact because it's incredibly unwatchable, but I did want to add guys like AJ Styles and Bobby Roode into my universe, so I combined the rosters from WCW and TNA, they will be grouped under the WCW brand.

      Here we go:

I'll go over the belts a little later on, as you know from following this drama, Vince put Eric Bischoff in charge of NXT. What Vince didn't know is that Bischoff has been out signing some pretty big names to his stable, he's got a great mix of young, untested talent in addition to some grizzled vets, it should be interesting to see how Bischoff uses this to his advantage.

I've got the Divas as well, but not sure what I'll do with them right now, I mean I know what I'd do with them, but you know what I mean. Maybe a PPV a few times a year? Who knows, maybe a joint NXT/Divas PPV?

      Here is the TV schedule:
      Monday - Raw
      Tuesday - AWA
      Wednesday - Nitro
      Thursday - NXT
      Friday - Smackdown!
Saturday - Superstars (Raw, SD, and NXT)

      Pay-Per-Views:
      WWE - Current schedule
      AWA - Former WWE/WWF PPVs
      WCW - Former WCW PPVs

We're going to have a PPV coming up in 2 weeks, there won't be much built up in the way of feuds by then, but we'll have one anyway. Not sure which company it will be, but Extreme Rules is at the end of the month for the WWE.

        WCW Titles

As the announcer was getting ready to introduce the wrestlers competing for the WCW United States Championship, the Jumbotron comes on and we see all 4 men in what can only be described as a Brawl backstage. Abyss, AJ Styles, Scott Steiner, and DDP were going at it, they couldn't make it to the ring. Stephanie nods her approval and gives the signal to ring the bell to start the match.

Stephanie McMahon (SM): "I hope you guys can hear me back there, fight it out, that's fine, last one standing - US Champ."

There are a lot of things that can do a lot of damage backstage. No greater example of that than AJ Styles going through the soda machine thanks to Scott Steiner. Abyss and DDP were taking turns hitting each other with rolling cases of some kind until Steiner basically destroyed both of them.

SM: "Ladies and Gentlemen, your WCW United States Champ...Scott Steiner."

WCW Heavyweight Champ - Ric Flair
WCW US Champ - Scott Steiner

WCW Tag Teams competing on Nitro for title shot at Spring Stampede in a few weeks:
The Outsiders (Nash & Hall) ; The Hardy Boys (Matt & Jeff) ; The Dudley Boys (Bubba Ray & Devon)

There will also be a European Championship that is not loyal to one brand

I will probably also do another minor WCW Title in the future once we get a little more history.

          AWA Championships

Vince McMahon decided on a good old fashioned King of the Ring Tournament to determine the AWA Champion. He also decided that the runner-up would be awarded the AWA Intercontinetal Title.

I decided to have Bradshaw wrestle as Bradshaw for two reasons - 1) I think Bradshaw LOOKS like a wrestler and 2)I needed another tag team, so you now have the Acolytes.

AWA Heavyweight Champ - Bret Hart
          AWA Intercontinental Champ - Mankind
AWA Tag Teams that will be competing for the belts at Armageddon:
New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn)
The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)
          Acolytes (Farooq & Bradshaw)

There will be another minor title, similar to WCW, probably a World Television title as a tribute to WCW Saturday Night from back in the day watching it with my grandfather. Again that will come a little later.

The trickiest thing about this universe thing is I keep feeling like I'm leaving people out. Well I have to keep telling myself that I'm not, wrestlers take breaks from the action from time to time to heal or because their storyline ended. For the first little bit I'm going to let the CPU - formerly and from here on known as the Creative Team - handle the matches, with some changes here and there and we'll see where we end up.

            WWE Championships

Shane-O-Mac was given the reins of the WWE, a pretty tall order, but Shane has in-ring experience, the savvy of a veteran businessman, as well as the McMahon DNA. The company should be in good hands.

There are four titles in all to be handed out tonight, the Tag Team belts will be handled the same as the other companies, awarded at the next PPV, Extreme Rules.

First up, a 6-Man Battle Royal for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

All 6 men in the ring when the bell is rung and trust me, someone's bell is going to get rung.

            Big Show
            Edge
            Dolph Ziggler
            Christian
            Rey Mysterio
            Wade Barrett

Mysterio is first to be eliminated thanks to Dolph Ziggler who tosses his like a wet tissue (?) out of the ring, surprising that the second one gone is the Big Show, thanks Christian. It's Christian again doing some tidying up in the ring as he sends Dolph packing, I think I see where this is headed. Yep - Wade Barrett eliminated by Edge who turns to see his tag team partner as the only competitor left in the ring. That aside, he begins to pummel his friend/countryman/partner and it looks like he....nope Christian reverses the momentum, gets him up on the top turnbuckle and SQUARE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE - Christian is your WWE Intercontinental Champion

            yes I have a PS3

Next up, Shane has ordered a Championship Scramble Match for the WWE US Championship

            Particpants in order of entrance:
            Ryback
            Zack Ryder
            Daniel Bryan
            Cody Rhodes
            Mark Henry

10 minutes - new competitor every 2 minutes, last one to pin or force submission is Champ, weird, but effective - like cinnamon dental floss.

First one to stake his claim is Cody Rhodes who pins Ryback with 3:45 left, by this time all the wrestlers are in ring and with the excpetion of Mark Henry are tired, well he's tired too because he rang to the ring.

Anywho - Mark Henry gets Daniel Bryan to submit using a Bearhug with 2:40 left, now all he has to do is hold on.....1:21 left and Daniel Bryan manages to pin Zack Ryder and ladies and gents that is it, Daniel Bryan WWE US Champion!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship - ELIMINATION CHAMBER

I feel like doing an evil laugh every time I type Elimination Chamber (insert here).

OK - awesome concept for a match as long as your opponents come out in the order you want them to.

            Alberto Del Rio
            Batista
            Kane
            Randy Orton
            Sheamus
            Undertaker

The match starts with Del Rio (she dances on the sand) and Batista in the ring, with the other 4 in pods waiting their turn. Back and forth on this one, next in is Orton and he and Batista team up against Del Rio. Del Rio is saved when Kane's door opens and he comes in and is given full attention by Randy Orton who in almost no time at all forces the Big Red Machine to submit to some hybrid of the sleeper hold. It may not have a name, but it worked. Kane gone. Sheamus is next in, everyone is momentarily blinded by his whiteness, but it's back to business. Del Rio is pinned by Batista, making him #2 (not literally). The final entrant is the Undertaker, who similar to his "brother" is forced to tap out to a submission hold, this time by Sheamus. Apparently Sheamus has a knack for submission holds because he gets Orton to tap out next, leaving The Irish Curse and the Animal to battle it out. Batista is setting up Sheamus for the Batista Bomb, but he gets it reversed and Sheamus nails the High Cross and 1....2.........3 -

            SHEAMUS WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION

WWE Championship - Armageddon HELL In A CELL Match
For the night's final belt, McMahon went for the most dramatic and evil match concept, Hell In A Cell - first one to pin or for a submission..wins.

            Brock Lesnar
            Chris Jericho
            CM Punk
            John Cena
            The Rock
            Triple H

We are talking the elite of the elite here.

It's a bloody mess, not English verbage, literal blood. Everyone is cut open early, I'm seeing F-5's and Rock Bottoms all over the place. Triple H hits the Pedigree on Punk who is saved by Cena. It's finsher after finisher until there is a moment of calm and it's Jericho and Rock, Jericho gets him in the Walls of Jericho, still no one else moving at this time, Rock breaks it, goes for the Rock Bottom (again), Y2J reverses it, hits the Codebreaker

            Chris Jericho WWE CHAMPION!

            Raw:
            WWE Championship - Chris Jericho
            WWE Intercontinental Title - Christian

            Smackdown!:
            WWE Heavyweight Title - Sheamus
WWE US Championship - Daniel Bryan

The Tag Titles are unified between the 2 shows and as always there will be other titles.

Thanks for watching, from MSG in NYC this is the WWE - O....U....T.

I think we are all set to start up.....

My mother-in-law is in town and taking the wife and child out tomorrow for a day of shopping, so hopefully I can get some shows knocked out. I did manage RAW this morning (that sounds weird) and I will post those shortly.

                    WCW Nitro - Episode 1

Larry Zbyszko (: "So Mrs. McMahon, I know that this roster has only been together for a few days now, but how what is the feeling backstage?"

Stephanie McMahon: "It's a pleasure to have the 'Living Legend' here with us. Things are tense backstage that's for sure. I am already seeing a split between the TNA talent and the WCW talent, I feel like it's a powderkeg getting ready to blow. There are a couple of matches tonight that will test that loyalty however. In any event we will know more after next Sunday's Spring Stampede. Oh, I forgot to mention that, I have scheduled or first PPV for next weekend!"

**I don't know if any of you watch 'Hardcore Pawn' on TRUtv, but Lex Luger was on there one night trying to sell some of his outfits that he wore on his walks to the ring, he was selling them to raise money for charity. He looked horrible. He walks with a cane now and his hands are claw-like, he had a buddy with him, who I assume and hope takes care of him, I don't think he knew where he was. A sad tribute to what these guys put their bodies through back in the day. He will always be Lex Luger 'The Total Package' to me!

I don't watch these matches, so there's just a summary. Once Bischoff every gets his isht together I might have to start watching them depending on what he decides.

The Superstar matches that are held on Saturdays will usually be matches to help me "clean up" rivalries and what not, I will watch them, but they will be set to 'Quick.'
