Wasn't Edge pretty much the same thing every 6 months? "Shock" title win to screw someone over, 2 month title run, lose belt, go midcard/get injured, then another "shock" title win? Not saying he sucked or that I didn't like him, just wouldn't think he'd be at the top of so many people's lists.

The first name that popped for me is Austin. I think PG Austin would still work to some extent, moreso than this watered down half assed version of some guy playing The Rock we see right now.

I'd probably pick Angle or maybe even see Sting in the WWE. I remember when he tormented the NWO, and loved that as a kid.

I know this isn't part of this but I'd love to see the 24/7 Hardcore championship come back. There were such awesome moments during that and it was so entertaining.

Kurt Angle would be my choice. I'm actually surprised that he's stayed in TNA for 7 years; I figured he would've returned to WWE by now.

I thought the re-packaging of Angle when he was on ECW was awesome. Remember when he busted open Justin Credible with a headbutt?

I liked when he started wearing the mouthpiece. I'm pretty sure the first time was when he went to ECW. It seemed like he gave less of a damn and was willing to do more in the ring.

I'd love to see Kurt Angle finish his career in the WWE on a limited schedule, but he seems pretty content where he is. It's hard for me to believe he won't end up in a WWE ring though. I can just imagine matches between Angle and Ziggler, Angle and Bryan, Angle and CM Punk, etc. He's definitely my top choice.

Then again, I'm just waiting on a return from Christian. Everyone other than Captain Charisma seems to have returned in recent months. Lol.

I think Angle is a really solid choice for a return.

Oh it's true, it's damn true.

I loved SCSA, but with today's restrictions, he wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. I think the thought of Stone Cold returning is better than him actually returning.. if that makes any sense at all.

For me, it'd be any of the following, in no particular order.

Stone Cold - I agree, he'd still work if watered down, but would prefer to let him be him.
HHH and HBK - As a team or as rivals. These two work so well together, and they're both incredible in the ring and on the mic. HBK as the top face feuding with HHH? Sold.
Dean Malenko - Solid competitor who didn't do so hot on the mic but didn't need to.
Val Venis/Sean Morley - Sure the "porn star" gimmick got old and would continue to. But the guy had charisma and pure talent in the ring. I've said before, I'm a huge fan of this guy.

I like the Angle and Edge picks. W/ Angle I didn't realize how good he was until he lift. Plus he was so good at being a heel, I actually didn't like him. He played any character great! His stuff w/ SCSA, HHH/Stephanie was awesome. But so were his serious runs. Equally as great in the ring.

Edge back would be sweet, but only as a heel. He was ok as a face, but much more believable as a heel. He didn't do anything earth shattering, just played the role of a heel very well.

Why not see the other side? Heel Michaels vs. face Triple H? I know they sort of had something when HBK was corporate as commisioner and Triple H was in DX, but didn't last long and nothing like in the early 2000's when Michaels came back. I know face Triple H isn't as good, but we haven't seen truly heel HBK ages (That whole nWo face doesn't really count and was very short term).

Obviously couldn't prove it, but I'm guessing heel HBK would be cheered today. Ziggler reminds me of that w/o the over the top stuff. HHH can make any crowd hate him.

                            1. Shelton Benjamin - The man had me glued to my seat in anticipation of what sort of crazy monkey-*** stunt he was going to do next!

                            2. Edge - Obviously a Champion's career cut short, A fan favourite as a face and Opportunistic Egomaniac as a Heel,great all-rounder.

                            3. Kurt Angle/Bret Hart - Probably the best technical wrestlers i seen most of growing up,in todays PG/RealityTV era i believe these guys would could work Face and Heel

                            4. Chris Benoit - There is definately a place for Benoit in todays WWE, a great wrestler with an intimidating character who didn't need swear words, dancing or silly gimmicks to get him over,he got over cuz he was that good at what he could do!
I always got the impression the WWE were trying to push Del Rio into this kind of "dangerous" character early on and it was never gonna work...it's a certain look that suits certain characters and Chris Benoit just looked like a dangerous wrestler to face.

                            Honourable mention
As much as i'd like to see Stone Cold back full-time the WWE is a different place now.I want to keep my memories of Austin as the Texas Rattlesnake who 50% of his promo was Bleeped out,Asked for a HELL YEH!,Stomped a Mud Hole,Stunner,Continued Swearing while wobbling Head like crazy man,Flipped the Bird and Drinks a few Beers!...I'd hate to see what a current full-time SCSA would look like!...The Rock's promo's are really hurting due to the restrictions he has on his promo's.

Now that Benoit has been mentioned, I think it's safe for me to say Eddie Guerrero (I didn't wanna be the guy to break the trend of mentioning deceased wrestlers xD ). Man was he awesome. The in ring ability, the athleticism, the charisma, everything. To see him pulling out the heel tactics as a face and still get cheered for it is a testament to his greatness. Definitely a great wrestler who would do so well today. Not to mention, the feud he could have had with Aristocrat ADR or Jack Swagger. *sigh*

To this day, this is still my favorite wrestling picture.
