Re: Raw 04/08/13 - The champ IS here...you CAN see him!
Unless they're going to Chicago, Philly or Canada soon, I don't see something like tonight happening for a while. Those are the only places outside the NYC area that regularly get the type of hardcore crowd that you get a for the night after Mania since 80-90% of those crowds aren't even local. Sure, a few things might catch on, but not that continued level of excitement. I guess it could happen in a few weeks in the UK, but those shows can also be edited before they air.Well since honestly WWE programming just cant be that hot evey week, they should really antagonize the crowd to be better than the last. Make some crowd rivalries and strategically plan trips where the crowd would want to out do the last one with the zanyness. From LI to Madison square, to the IZOD, to Philly, etc. I know it would be dificult to find a string a rival arenas across the whole country but dammit they should try. South Carolina, please at least keep up Fandango's chant.
It bums me out that it will never happen here. Every time I go I see little kids who don't seem to realize there are other wrestlers besides Cena and Mysterio, their parents who are bored or reading or on their phones through the whole show and maybe 1-2K at best who might fit in with that crowd last night. And places like this are sadly the overwhelming majority now.Comment

Yeah, that's the thing that sucks with non big city crowds. I always want to do those insane cheers and stuff (which is why I want to get front row seats some time and just chant random stuff at the guys like BEARS to D-Bry) but here in Indy, there isn't much that people are "smarky" about, except the Punk pop when he is heel, since he wrestled in the area when younger, but that is about it.Unless they're going to Chicago, Philly or Canada soon, I don't see something like tonight happening for a while. Re: Raw 04/08/13 - The champ IS here...you CAN see him!
I always read the Raw threads, but due to work, I don't watch until after the show is over. Just finished watching, and wow what a show. Probably the best Raw I've seen since I started watching again 18 months ago.
I feel like Barrett winning the IC again was kind of a redo on his push, well hopefully. He's got some real promise in the ring, and I think he suffers more than almost anyone for the lack of direction Creative has given him. Maybe now he can get put over for real by someone like Jericho or Christian.
Sooo glad Ziggler successfully cashed in finally. I had a feeling it would be last night, since it didn't happen at WM (But I also thought the same thing during Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and the Chamber lol). One of the hardest mark outs I've had since I was a kid was when his music hit. Almost had a panic attack when ADR kicked out of the ZigZag. The crowd made it even better... hopefully they see the reaction he gets and he turns face, but with Big E on his side, I don't think that's happening yet.
Somehow I didn't see the Sheild coming during the Taker promo, but man that was intense. Just when we were wondering what's next for them, they found a new Super group to fued with. I don't mind The Bear Wrestling Dazzler getting involved w/Brothers of Destruction... it's a bit out of place, but I think it works.
Orton & Sheamus was actually a decent match, and I feel bad for them. They didn't look too happy with the crowd lol.
Ryback turned heel (maybe?)... sure seemed like it to me.
Almost everything else last night was pretty good. Great post mania Raw, arguably better than Wm itself. So now the question is was last night just an anomaly, like last year when they tried to edit out the YES chants on SD the following night, or will they capitalize on what the crowd was into (Ziggler, Barrett, Fandango, etc).
Sorry for my ramblings, I'm just marking out like a ten year old again

So the free Raw was better than the $60+ PPV WM??
Well done, Vince and co!

Another awesome pic:

Well this would be the adductor muscle he claims to have torn off the bone:
He probably wouldn't have been able to walk very well,if at all. I see no reports of him having spent most of the match limping or not being able to stand up or any such thing. I see they exchanged 22 finishers and signatures in the end when he shouldn't have been able to even walk normally.Comment

I missed the first hour and a half of the show last night, so I had to download it (I wanted to see Ziggy's cash in!) and even though I knew what was gonna happen, I still got goosebumps whenever his music hit and the crowd went nuts. Definitely gonna keep this episode, just because it's so fun to watch.Comment

The fans were beyond hilarious the whole night. They were so amped the whole time. Sheamus/Orton match was actually good, but who could pay attention with the fans cheering for everything, but the match.
It was cool to see JBL so humbled when they chanted for him, Lawler, and Cole. I may have to watch this one again.Comment
