CAW Editing Help Needed

I have been trying to add a tatoo design to a dusty caw, two stars on the back of his trunks...the problem is the stars disappear after I select ok

The design is on the caw if I go to the edit layers I see the design its just not showing on the caw, so my 2 questions are 1-how do I fix this and 2- I have tried moving a layer but Im not doing it correct because I cant get the design to appear HELP please!!!!

You have to put those layers as the trunks design, not as tattoos

When you select the trunks, it gives you the option to choose colour, design and something else I can't remember right now.
