I thought there were a couple of great matches. I thought thats what we wanted?

The storylines were pretty terrible though. At least the Ryback and Shield Hell No stuff.

Great matches with no story or feeling behind them are worthless in the WWE. We already know they have more in ring talent than ever, they're letting it basically go to waste with no intrigue.

Remember when the IC Champ vs World Champ was a major, major event? I do. Now they devalue all of their titles and throw people into matches haphazardly. If I don't have a reason to care about any of the fights and get emotionally invested, there's no long term reason to watch - which there hasn't been for a while now, save for love of wrestling and hoping against hope that they turn their **** around sooner rather than later.

The matches were amazing, can't think of the last time I watched an entire Randy Orton match (they even had me believing he was putting Cody over for a couple of seconds). Cody, Kofi and Cesaro looked strong losing and the opener was so awkward that I kinda enjoyed it.

if WWE wants Ryback to shed the whole Goldberg chants and comparisons...they probably shouldn't have him walking around in a leather jacket as his "street' attire

Pretty sure they are starting to embrace it. I mean, who better to be compared to than one of dubbya see dubbya's biggest stars in the 90's.

Random thoughts about RAW:

Matches were good but that suffers when nothing advances storyline-wise. I always prefer storyline development to great matches when it comes to the weekly shows. I was so disinterested in tonight's show. Maybe it was just one of those nights for me personally.

I thought the matches that did occur were pretty solid, but I agree about the lack of storyline development ANYWHERE.

I knew there was no way Big E was winning that first "match". The clear favorite is never going to win in that situation.

Ziggler/Kofi was really good. Again, I like how well they blended great wrestling with "heel tactics". Kofi's moveset is a little goofy, but his mobiility in the ring works well with Ziggler.

That may be the first Orton match I've enjoyed in a long time. I hate how they made Rhodes look like a bitch at the end. Random RKO finishers usually get a thumbs down, but that was a creative finish IMO.

Did we go the entire night without Sandow. Man that guy has a lot of potential, but we know how that goes.

Too much filler and recap. What's ****ed up is now the are partering with Yahoo for a 30 minute pre-raw show. Is that even necessary ? I guess they can't get enough advertisement $$ out of three hour RAWs.

JBL on commentary makes everything better. The guy def. belongs at that table and it's nice to let King and Cole fade into the background sometimes.

Cena/Ryback storyline is boooooooorrriiiiiiiiiing. I'll be glad when Cena finally beats him at Extreme Rules and hopefully we can move on.

The WHC is far more compelling right now.

Anyways, I thought the matches were good, but the filler was ridiculous.

Also.. Sheamus sure is doing face things all the time, eh ? I couldn't be more out on his character. I would pay to see him and Mark Henry in a real street fight.

Too much time between WM and Extreme Rules especially with guys being out due to injuries. These feuds are all meh and the fact that they have more time to build these boring feuds doesn't help.

There's not really any stories to develop. There's Shield and Cena/Ryback.

Kaitlyn vs. AJ has more heat and intrigue than any other feud going right now.

Every other storyline WWE is running comes off like like two dudes randomly pitted against other for no reason.

They have to let Ryback win at ER right? I know its not gonna happen, but how would he remain a relevant threat if he can't beat a hobbled Cena? I mean, nothing worse for a heel than losing to an injured face. I say let Ryback win, let him build some actual heel cred and let Cena recover.

I Liked the Kofi vs Ziggler match I think Kofi should of won... he was the better guy in the match... Raw was overall quite good this week I thought.

Doesn't really matter if the show was good or not, the Raw thread always delivers.
