During last night's King of the Ring,Jerry "the king" Lawler ended up putting his foot in his mouth courtesy of Bret Hart. None other than the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels willl be taking over for him on commentary this week.
The actual King turned out to be Mabel of Men on a Mission. With a shocking win over The Undertaker in the quarter final and a bye in the semi final due to a HBK/Kama draw,Mabel became king defeating Savio Vega in the finals and earning himself a title shot at Summerslam. It's great to see them pushing new talent and I'm sick of that Undertaker guy winning all the time anyway.
Who will be champion at Summerslam? Current champion Diesel teamed up with Bam Bam to defeat Sid and Tatanka at King of the Ring last night. However rumors are swirling on the internet that Sid will be getting a title shot anyway at the next PPV,In Your House 2. It's supposed to be a lumberjack match.
The Smoking Guns seek to climb back up the tag team ladder after losing their titles a couple of months ago at Wrestlemania to Owen Hart and Yokozuna. They'll be facing The Black Phantom and Jason Arndt on Raw! That's right. THE Black Phantom. Nice to see Owen with a title. Lex Luger and The British Bulldog are also in contention for the tag team titles.
The Roadie managed an impressive showing at KotR so perhaps it's time he break away from J-E-double F J-A-double R-E-double T and seek a career of his own. Jarrett was out in round 1 so yes the Roadie actually made it further than him. Maybe Jarrett will sing for us again. We're all looking forward to that.
Man Mountain Rock could use a roadie too. He will grace us with another wonderful performance before his match with
right no spoilers. I'm personally shocked he wasn't in KotR. They put that Bob Holly guy in there instead. Rock & roll is more over than that right?
King Mabel's coronation will be the main event right after he's scheduled to face Kenny Kendall. Kendall is on a 3 match win streak and with Mabel defeating The Undertaker we all know that anything can happen in the WWF! Perhaps the deadman will be out for revenge and ruin the crowning of a king and cost him his celebatory match.
Absolutlely none of this because it was a preview for Raw 06/26/95 and something else entirely different this week on: Monday Night Raw!
