Gameplay Wise Of What WWE 2k14 Needs And Moving Forward Into Next Gen

With 2k Sports taking on a newfranchise in WWE Games, In my opinion, gameplay should be the main focus andrefining for not only this generation, but for the next generation of consoles.

The past two games have been a disaster due to the lack of interactionwith weapons. Especially WWE '13 with it being based off the Attitude Era. Thephysics system is broken. I still play WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2011 because ofthe physics system. The ability to AA someone off the ladder to the outside orwhen someone hits the ropes it's awesome. It's very rare that it happens in WWE'13.<o></o>

The next thing that I would like tosee for the gameplay is to give the user options for the kick out system and tobring back tutorial mode. It was a bad transitioning from SVR '11 to WWE '12with a new controller layout. Why wasn't there a hands on tutorial mode for theuser to brush up on their skills or learn the game for new users? Even though it's something that deals with options and ability for the user to have totalcontrol, it still applies to the gameplay.<o></o>

One thing that really needs to bringback in WWE Games is Ultimate Control. This is a feature that I enjoyed and Ireally want it to be back in WWE Games. It brings the environment alive, bothinside and outside the ring, it gives the user many options and it also bringsa better representation of a WWE match and this has to be in for the nextgeneration of consoles. Again to my knowledge in WWE '13 there are only twomoves that can give you control, but its been very limited since WWE '12. WithUltimate control it can also help with limb targeting. When targeting thehead, arms, body and legs, using it will help bring back more control to theuser.<o></o>

The next idea that needs to be fixedis the breaking point submission system. With this game being a representationof WWE, why does it not represent WWE from the submission side. Dealing withrope break it is really upseting because if you are heel why do you have tobreak the hold? You had the 5 count, but dealing with using the resiliencyability. How about using it when you are in a submission hold. My suggestion iswhen in a hold, press the LB/L1 button and that reduces the submission a bit toeither break out of the submission or to reach the ropes. So you can useresiliency once for both when getting pinned or in a submission hold.<o></o>

Finally, Stamina needs to be back inWWE Games. A good way to be autentic and to strategize against beating theoppenent. The move-set was also great too, because it's a risk/reward with themoves because of the system. Plus it would be a fantastic idea when playingonline because, I despise playing online because everyone does the same tworunning grapples among other things, but if 2k Sports brings back the staminasystem and applies it for online, Maybe I'll play more online matches.<o></o>

From the gameplay side these are afew ideas and suggestions that I would like to see in WWE 2k14. Hopefully 2kSports and WWE Games will see this and some of these mechanics will beimplanted but more importantly these are suggestions that has to be in movingforward with the next generation of consoles. <o></o>

They really revert back the Smackdown vs Raw 2011 system for most things. Phsyics were great in that game and lacked in the move to Predator Technology with WWE 12 and WWE 13. The limb control thing they bought in with WWE 12 lacks compared to the old RS grapple scheme they had been using and had perfected since 2007. The downfall of these games came with WWE 12 and all the new initiatives they tried to incorporate into the game. I doubt 2K will revert back to the old format and 2K14 will likely be like 12 and 13 just because THQ had most of the game done before it was sold off to 2K. With 2K15 I hope we see 2K improve these controls bringing back the right stick control and moving the face buttons out of the control scheme.

I agree with you, WWE '12 was a disaster and I agree that 2k14 will be like WWE '13, but when moving forward to next gen consoles, these areas of gameplay is what I expect to improve on.

2K do a great job with their NBA series and its IMO the best of the yearly sports titles. If they put in the same effort into WWE we could get constantly good wrestling games. 2K did innovate the RS controls with NBA2K13 and it would be nice for them to incorporate the RS back into WWE with 2K15 but keep the current scheme and let us choose which we prefer as they did with in 2K13 with the old scheme
