Brooke Hogan is involved. And all their merchandise looks like Affliction knockoffs. And their backstage segments are filmed in TMZ style, with a sometimes hidden camera guy. And if the camera guy isn't hidden he'll actually ask the wrestlers questions like TMZ people do.

It's atrocious.

I watched an episode of Impact a month or so ago and it was ridiculously stupid. The Dudley Boys leading a biker gang, Bubba married to Brooke Hogan...

I don't think anyone here has ever said that the WWE always has good ideas or that they don't do some pretty crappy stuff.

TNA is on a whole different playing field when it comes to that stuff though. They are bush league (on a production/content standpoint, they do have some talent there) and it shows.

I have never watched it consistently, but at least it is different. If I wanted to watch another WWE-style produced show, I'd watch Main Event. Or I'd actually watch Smackdown.

Well it seems they've successfully ruined The Shield...

In the segment breakdown, the show opened at a 2.87 quarter rating for the segment with Vince McMahon, Brad Maddox and Daniel Bryan. The Shield vs. Mark Henry and The Usos lost a whopping 409,000 viewers. Ryback's catering segment and a vignette for The Wyatt Family gained 167,000 viewers. Fandango vs. Rob Van Dam gained 135,000 viewers. AJ Lee vs. Kaitlyn and Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E Langston gained 361,000 viewers for a 3.06 quarter rating in the 9pm timeslot.

Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio lost 206,000 viewers. Wade Barrett vs. Cody Rhodes lost 85,000 viewers. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan at 10pm gained 60,000 viewers for a 2.90 quarter rating - a horrible gain for that timeslot.

Brie Bella vs. Natalya lost 92,000 viewers. R-Truth vs. Curtis Axel with the attack from CM Punk lost 145,000 viewers. Ryback vs. John Cena in a Tables Match gained a big 769,000 viewers for a 3.29 overrun rating.

Well when you do the same thing over and over and over for almost a year, well yea. Or, the results were already known so people saw no reason to watch the match, which means they aren't as impressive as you may think. :wink:

You can't use a taped show to determine what people are interested in because you have no idea what percentage of those changing the channel already know or just don't care.

They have no real purpose, I mean they just come out try to destroy someone then leave. We've seen that throughout the WWE it's ok to have the same gimmick obviously, but eventually you have to create actual feuds. I just don't think creating a 3 man group was a great idea especially when they are all new guys, for too long they just threw together 3 random guys to face them.

They also barely talk, nobody is gonna care if they have 0 emotional attachment.

Anyway The Shield died once they wanted championships that didnt matter.
