Tag Team RESET after DLC?

Seems that way.

After downloading the nWo pack today, all of my teams reset to the factory settings. I had over 25 tag-teams made up...so I have to do them all over again....and it makes no sense, considering the nWo/Outsiders aren't a new team made up or anything. You still have to go and create the team despite having the new nWo wrestlers.

What a pain!

That sucks. Sorry to hear that - same thing happened last year too.

Fix is the same I've read - when you download DLC turn off the game immediately and then start it back up.

That, and check your Universe settings. Did you create your tag teams in Universe? If so, they won't show up outside of Universe.

Same thing happened to me. Teams created in Universe mode are deleted by the nWo DLC. At least it didn't wipe out all downloaded saved data or anything too crazy.

This has happened to quite a few people every year since Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, I believe. Usually the fix is to turn off auto save, download DLC, then back all the way out to the 'Press Start' screen before doing anything else.

...of course, I did that and my teams were still deleted. I turned off the game and came back to it later and everything was back, so who even knows what the cause/effect is at this point?

I downloaded/installed the N.W.O pack and the Giant(N.W.O) direct from the PS store. It worked fine nothing was reset. I had to download/install the outsiders from the wee shop in game and that screwed up my teams. Its a bit better than last year when my entire rosters would reset.....still a pain.

Yeah, as everyone was saying, best bet is too download, then quit the game, then go back into it.

Its happened every year....the good news it, it appears to be just tag teams(as I forgot to quit game after downloading)all the allies/rivals etc were still in tact.

Worst bug ever. Didn't know about turning off the game after downloading until last year. Can't believe they haven't fixed this.

Glad I haven't started universe mode, I downloaded the DLC backed out to start screen and my teams were still there, hope they are there when I boot up the game again.

Sucks that this is still an issue (especially for those who are new to the series and couldn't possibly know to watch out for it). Hopefully this is the type of thing 2K will be cleaning up.

Anyway, for consolidation purposes and an easy to follow future reference, these are the exact steps for what has worked to prevent resets in years past:

1. If you haven't already, turn off auto save
2. Download DLC
3. Turn the game off after downloading (DO NOT back out to the menus)
4. Restart

The issue is apparently inconsistent (some people say backing out to the main menu works, for example, while others get screwed) but the above steps have been the safest way to go about the DLC for the past few years.
