Hopefully Canada will get this service within 3-4 months of the US launch. It sounds a lot more comprehensive and better than WWE 24/7 ever was.

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
@WNSource now confirmed by multiple attendees, WWE handed out Chromecasts and it will be compatible pic.twitter.com/Qg3ZpHH0cN
Im hearing and saw pictures that they gave out both Apple TV and Chromecast devices with the WWE Network logo on them, which I would assume means both will be supported in the future, if not at launchComment

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
Beginning Monday, February 24, WWE Network will only be available in the United States. WWE Network is scheduled to launch in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Nordics by the end of 2014/early 2015.
Still won't do the trick for me, being European and all. That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.Comment

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
I am 1000% sold on this in a big way, the VOD is a huge selling point, but ppvs and replays of the weekly shows that's a slam dunk
the WWE network Facebook page already has 940,000 followers, if that means anything I think its gonna be a successComment

I would imagine Europe would get it at some point.Comment

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
For those like me concerned about server stability.
According to Dave Meltzer
As noted, WWE is partnering with the company that streams Major League Baseball games online. Their facilities will give WWE access to the best technology available but it will be very expensive for WWE.Comment

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
Feb 24 can't get here soon enough.
Do you think they'll wait a while before adding Elimination Chamber to the Network? Just thinking if they want people to buy it that's not going to happen if you wait a day and can watch it when the app goes live for $10 (well technically $60 but you still save $40 off EC) instead of $50.Last edited by IlliniM1ke; 01-09-2014, 05:19 PM.Favorite Teams:

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
Yes. When streaming from the laptop or PC I don't recall ever having any significant issues in several years of service. The apps for PS3 and my Android were a little more shaky to start (mainly in keeping a high quality stream), but ended up quite stable overall.Comment

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
Now granted the mad rush on the 24th may be an issue (I would think WWE has a strong, and now even stronger server), I don't expect it to crash or be slow. I'd think it'd be fine.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
Just having all the old PPVs would have been enough for me, but getting classic matches (which I assume will be things that were on RAW/Smackdown and not a PPV) and "replays" of RAW/Smackdown (which my bet is that it's like the RAW AM stuff, where some stuff is cut from the live show.) At only $10 a month, and what they could possibly offer as I put in a previous post, is quite the bargain.
Plus, the Legends House looks so dumb that it could be fun to watch for it's derp-ness, but it sucks no Iron Shiek.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE's Big Announcement
I'll get it, but I'll wait to judge how good it could be. It looks good on paper, but doesn't mean it will pan out in practice for a while. Yes, MLB.tv has been great, but it has also been running for over a decade. They've had yearly hiccups early in the season on devices outside of PC's, but they are usually resolved quickly.
Given that the WWE has no history yet with this, and I haven't really heard anything either way about their internet streaming history, I'm not sure what to expect yet in terms of quality and response to get quality up to par if necessary. However, since it has been years since I bought a PPV because $50+ for a PPV is outrageous given today's product, there is no reason not to try it. Would not shock me if prices creep up yearly though, much like MLB.TV. I remember when it was closer to $100; it was $135 last year for the premium package, and $140 next year wouldn't be a surprise.Comment
