I can't get it to work on Apple TV or PS3. Will try again after work.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I know I'm over a month late on this, but the Austin-McMahon WWE Network podcast stuff....is it worth WATCHING? Meaning do I have to watch it, or can I just listen to it(without watching it) and not miss out on anything during that interview?Comment

Outside of a few facial reactions, you wouldn't miss anything by just listening to it as you're watching/doing something else.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Still got about 6 MNW episodes to go, but some stuff on it so far has surprised me that they mentioned.
They showed a clip that actually mentioned Benoit in it(though in a future episode, they completely ignored him,I think even zooming in abit extra on Eddie/Malenko/Saturn so Benoit was out of the shot). And Nash quickly mentioned how Kane was a dentist!
Seems to be abit inconsistent with the censoring on the MNW stuff too. They censor words said sometimes, but then 10 minutes later that exact same word which was censored, was allowed....Comment

Thankfully they haven't done that to the PPVs when you watch them. That would be a travesty if they did.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I love this network! Been addicted to it since Wednesday night, watching every PPV since the turn of the millennium.
A couple of points I've picked up:
- the actual wrestling in a lot of the matches wasn't as good as people would have you believe. A few title matches I've seen so far haven't even gone more than 5-6 minutes.
- A lot of the booking doesn't make sense, so it's not really any better than current WWE in that regard
- A big plus point is that the whole card seems to matter. Most people have stories and have good competitive bouts. For instance at No Way Out, Scotty 2 Hotty and Chris Benoit had a big slugfest during the tag match, and a week or two later Benoit beat The Rock. Everyone seems to matter.
- JR seemed to be at his peak during this time period. His delivery is fluent, emotional, and in my opinion the blueprint for wrestling announcing. Brilliant.
- The belts seem to matter. Yes they are props in a bigger story in most cases, but the winning of the belt is the important thing above all else.
- Bull Buchanan was pretty damn good, reminds me of Luke Harper. I never used to realise how athletic he was.Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Back then overall didn't have GREAT wrestling, but everything else made up for it. Storytelling in and out of matches is what made people not care at all about the quality of the matches itself(though I'd say 2002-2004 had great wrestling).
The depth of the card is what makes the product good. It's not just 1-2 things cared about, every match has a reason for happening and actual storylines happening for superstars too. Doesn't matter if you're main event or opening the show, you'll be in a meaningful storyline.Comment

Every now and again there would be a great match, but most of it was storyline closure/advancement which I am completely fine with.
I think the key thing was that you cared about the characters enough to look past the fact that the in ring stuff was average.
Ok, not everyone was over, but I was more interested in Viscera vs Mark Henry than I am in Big Show vs Roman Reigns, despite on being a lot lower on the card.
WWE needs to build strong main eventers, but it needs it's lower card to be popular just as much. Where do they thing Edge, Jeff Hardy, Eddie Guerrero, Benoit, Cena, Christian came from?Supporting Leeds United, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Lions and the Colorado Avalanche!
