    WWE Network Discussion Thread

After months of grinding everyday I finally made it to peak WCW

    Glacier is here!!!!!!!

Quick note: On Nitro 51 Chris Jericho appears for the 1st time (I believe) on nitro coming out to his "basketball highlights #2" theme. The crazy part is later that night John Tenta ,aka Earthquake, came out using jericho's future theme song the "evenflow" inspired one completely unedited.

Wonder if it's the same for Pat Tanaka who uses Goldberg's theme before he showed up.

I'm not sure which of those WCW themes I liked more ... the background sports/news segment themes or the porno ones. Or the Raven/DDP Nirvana knockoffs. Or the cheesy 80s rock vocals on American Males, Hogan, Sting etc. It's all so good.

Nitro 98 is complete and 99 has all episodes through August 16th up. 20 episodes left for 99 to be complete.

I'm just about to KOTR 97 now and I have to say, I forgot how awful Bret Hart is on the mic with his monotone delivery, but it definitely did him a favor for being a heel. But seriously though, every ****ing week he was coming out and saying the same **** over and over about how much he hated the American wrestling fans. Seeing it again for the first time since 97, it's pretty insufferable and hardly believable after the 6th or 7th time he cuts the same promo.

WWE Network just made a SOLID addition. They have a new section called "Collections". Each section contains promos and/or matches!: http://network.wwe.com/shows/collections

              It includes:
              - Best of Stone Cold vs Mr. McMahon
              - Celebrating Black History Month
              - Lesnar: Road to the Undisputed Title (Circa 2002)
              - The Best of WWE Network
              - The Greatest Matches Ever
              - TLC Tag Teams

Each section contains an intro video as well.

The Lawler backstage promo on Goldust is immediately the one that comes to my mind.

I just looked at the content available for these and I am only interested in half of them. The TLC one, Lesnar, SCSA v. McMahon and some of the Greatest matches one. The network one does nothing for me, only thing I will watch is HHH on SCSA podcast. Nothing great on the Black History month, maybe Ron Simmons v. Vader and Booker v. Jarrett. For greatest matches I will probably watch Brett v. Owen, HHH v. Taker, Rock v. SCSA, Michaels v. SCSA, and Cena v. Punk.

Well you just admitted that there's some content in each one that'd you watch, lol. I think it's a good start and the possibilities this could lead to is intriguing.

What made me say that was a RAW opening segment between Bret Hart and early DX. Nothing too crazy, just the words they were using on TV to describe HBK and HHH's sexual orientation.

I've had the Brock one on when I've had time during work today. If WWE ever gets another powerhouse in the Lesnar/Goldberg mold, THIS is how you debut them.

Yea I am starting with the TLC one easiest the matches I loved the most growing up. And that match at No Mercy in '99 between the Brood and Edge and Christian was pretty good. And it's definitely one that gets lost in the shuffle.

The Lawler promo he's talking about is pretty much the same of that promo you're talking about. Lawler calls Goldust "a flaming ******".
