WWE Network Discussion Thread
After months of grinding everyday I finally made it to peak WCW

Glacier is here!!!!!!!
Quick note: On Nitro 51 Chris Jericho appears for the 1st time (I believe) on nitro coming out to his "basketball highlights #2" theme. The crazy part is later that night John Tenta ,aka Earthquake, came out using jericho's future theme song the "evenflow" inspired one completely unedited.
Wonder if it's the same for Pat Tanaka who uses Goldberg's theme before he showed up.

And just like that Pat Tanaka shows up on Nitro 54 and yes he has Goldberg's theme unedited. I'm starting to think they just went to every match of the particular wrestlers they knew they needed (or in Goldberg's case want to) to change for copyright reasons and edit that out but no other instances.
Oh and his opponent.........

WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm up to the Raw after Backlash 99. I had forgotten how Taker took Stephanie at the end of Backlash and the limo scene. Haha that was so good.

One of the greatest storylines ever.
Watching those old Raws made me remember just really how good and ****ed up Taker was in that satanic role.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Absolutely agree.
The only lousy thing during this one was the terrible HIAC with Bossman. Otherwise just a really great story.
Stuff like this is why I love the Network. I remember seeing all this stuff the first time, but going back this many years later you catch a lot of things or at least have a better appreciation.
For instance, totally forgot he fought Shamrock at Backlash. They had a really good submission heavy match and it was first time you ever saw that side of Taker.

Yep I agree it's great seeing this old stuff that you tend to forget that happened. Like the one I mentioned earlier, the Brood vs. Christian/Edge at No Mercy. It was a very good match that always get lost behind WM 17, the triple ladder match, etc. and that match at No Mercy was the first ever tag ladder match.Absolutely agree.

Idk man. I don't think anyone forget that's match. That match catapulted those two tag teams and the crazy ladder match **** that came after.Yep I agree it's great seeing this old stuff that you tend to forget that happened. Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Go watch Brock Lesnar take a wicked unprotected chair shot to the head from Jeff Hardy, and then a follow-up unprotected shot from Matt. It's one of the RAW segments featured in the Lesnar collection they just added.
The dude doesn't even flinch after those. It's scary.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Yeah, the one the Rock took from Stone Cold when Mankind won the WWF Title always sticks out to me as a gross thud. And you can tell when it's a heavy folding chair, as opposed to the thin ones that crumple easily. I'm glad we don't see those chair shots anymore.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Yeah I think I miss that stuff until I watch it then I'm glad it's out.
The Mankind Rock Royal Rumble match makes me sick to my stomach just about.
