Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Among strictly wrestling fans? Of course Flair was more popular since he was around way longer. But overall reach? Goldberg for sure. He was the face of WCW during their most popular time period in which pro wrestling had gone mainstream. The combined TV ratings of RAW and Nitro were regularly between 8.0-10.0+ which is just unreal especially compared to today. NWA/WCW never generated numbers anywhere close to those of 98-99 in any other time period.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Because it's not close. Goldberg was probably the second wrestler after Hogan to be forced down our throats. And he benefited from the Monday night war. Austin was popular, so why can't a more jacked up guy who looks just like him be as popular.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
What does being fair have to do with anything? Neither wrestler can control when they were born or how the state of pro wrestling was when they were in it. That's just life. Goldberg benefited from being the face of an era that was mainstream but he was part of the reason it became mainstream. So it doesn't make sense to detract from him just because of the era he was in. With the rise of social media, today's wrestlers have more exposure than any other era ever and they still aren't as popular as the wrestlers of the Attitude Era.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
That wouldn't be so bad. Goldust's original run should get more recognition than it does. Dude was ahead of his time.

Let us never forget his casket match with Taker. I believe it was the Beware of Dog PPV when the lights went out.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I like him better as "the Natural" in WCW. He had some great matches with Rude, Orndorff, Vader and Austin (catch them on The Network). NO reason he couldn't have been World Champion pre Hogan.NFL- Green Bay Packers

**** Goldberg, just gimme my 2003 Raws man.
And I'm not trying to hear no "We're waiting for Triple H to induct himself into the HOF before we put those up" mess either.
Ain't nobody got time for that.#RespectTheCultureComment

I would like to have a Summer of Punk collection on the network. I got back into wrestling towards the end go it and I would really like to watch it from the beginning but I doubt they make one.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I just randomly decided to download an episode of Wrestling Challenge from Feb 1990 that contained the announcement of Hogan/Warrior WM VI main event...this is the show, a long with WWF Superstars from the late 80s/early 90s that we need. I never got to witness any of the buildup to shows in the late 80s/early 90s and I think they'd be somewhat watchable. 93 RAW is hard to sit through because of jobber matches but I think with the product being clearly superior in the late 80s-92, it'd be watchable.Comment
