Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Classic heel tactic. Even though I never understood why that little *** piece of metal was supposed to be so powerful lol.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
But an enziguri or any of the other multiple varieties of kicks to the head are ok? I'm not saying it couldn't be the reason, it just wouldn't make much sense considering all of the other stuff the do in the head area. Nobody is going face first in to the metal without protecting themselvesComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Lots of stuff they think is played out, while lots of other things that are actually played out get overdone.
Overdone are the DQ/Countout finishes where the heel loses the match but retains their title. Then the announcer is like "here is your winner by disqualification (the challenger)" and then their music starts playing. Then suddenly the music stops and announcer is like "However, still the ___ champion" before the champs music hits. We all know that a DQ/Countout finish means champ retains their title. So why go through that pointless stuff of playing the winners music for 20 or so seconds just to be like "o ya, the champ retains".
One of the many things that they don't do anymore are those handshakes. Where two superstars are in the ring during a segment and one person offers to shake the hand of the other, and then while they have their hand out, the good guy starts looking around the arena to gauge the audience on if they should shake the hand or not.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Just got into 2000 at the first Raw of the year and dawg, it was just TOO easy to hate Triple H. As soon as he and Steph joined forces and he started trying to flex and always screw The Rock...that's when his bitchassness was on display, lol.
On another note, Top 3 Entrance Music during that time: Too Cool, Dudley Boyz and The Rock.
SN: I love how most of us here are starting around the same timeframe and pretty much on the same page. Makes it too enjoyable to talk about Wrestling from back then, especially when hearing about the side stories.
-RAW being an hour long was awesome. Easy to consume the product, even if it wasn't great.
-Watching the shows helps add context to the PPV's, which I appreciate.
-Interesting how the early shows rarely featured Undertaker and Bret Hart. RAW didn't have the flagship show feel quite yet in mid-1993.
Not sure when I'll get to the Attitude Era, but I am looking forward to it.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Exactly....it's just not the same when you don't have Sandman coming out to Enter Sandman...legit drinking a few beers (not Stone Cold spraying them everywhere), smoking a cigarette, and the crowd singing along with the entrance.Last edited by jasontoddwhitt; 10-25-2017, 06:26 PM.Comment

I still can't believe they were stupid enough to let him do it. How do you actually agree to give four of the best talents you have on your roster their unconditional release? Insanity.

Made it to the Booker T/Stone Cold grocery store episode of Smackdown today, it's even better now than I remember it back when it happened [emoji23][emoji23]
