Lol, dx and nation brawling before their match, everyone fighting despite it supposed to be tag title match. Then hearing commentary is funny.

King: What is Mark Henry doing here, is he in the match? Everyone at ringside is fighting...... Are we in the match?!

And JR with line of the night.

JR: Dude love knocked on his ample posterior!

Can't wait for next raw. Saturday night from skydome! I believe the skydome holds record for biggest raw audience?

Kane and Undertakers entrances never gets old. Especially the beginning of Kane's. Lights go out, music hits, loud pyro explosion, entire arena lit red.

So i'm ungodly slow (I can't help it, '94 has been a real slog!) but i'm at the point where Diesel is champ. Holy crap, now I know why that title reign bombed so badly. They took a bad *** character and turned him into this humble guy who is all nicey nicey. What a misfire by McMahon.

Turns out it wasn't the Skydome show I was thinking I was gonna watch. For all the hype they were giving it, it turned out to just be some house show that wasn't an episode of Raw.

You know it's 1998 when they compared the Nation adding Owen to the Mets adding Piazza(it was a taped show, but I think they added in that line to the broadcast since the trade happened on the Friday before that Raw). And then The Rock "comments" on the new thing Viagara by saying he has no comment because he doesn't need it.

lol, randomly funny moment on one of the shows:

My 6yo son told us the other day how he has wrestling matches with his stuffed animals every night to help him relax and fall asleep (don't know how that works but ok...). Then yesterday he told me that he doesn't really have a champion because he doesn't have a belt to give any of them. I'm sure he's seen some of the stuff I've had on once in a while but don't think it's been enough to get him some of the info that he has. So now I'm worried that he's getting wrestling info from someone else and who knows what kind of quality it is. lol

So...I told him that we're watching some wrestling tonight. In your opinion, what are the 2-3 best things (regardless of era/brand/type...he's probably not going to get into anything in the Originals area though) on the Network for a budding wrestling fan?

Right off the top of my head for his age, I’d say find some Doink the Clown stuff (face obviously) as maybe a lure to get started. Also Rey Mysterio and as much of WCW’s cruiserweights as you can because the fast paced, high flying stuff is always great to catch a young kid’s attention. Rey’s stuff around the start of his WWE debut on Smackdown is good stuff too. He really brought a spark to the show when he turned up and connected with the youngsters immediately.

Yea I agree with King here. Find some good Lucha Libre action to find. That and high flying action is a great way to lure people into becoming fans. Rey's work and the CW work from WCW is a good start, also maybe use the match that broke the internet, Ospreay vs Ricochet from the Best of the Super Juniors in Japan Day 6 on May 27th 2016. here's a link for it: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4dxp1b

Anything from John Cena's PG run would work fine for 6 year old. Maybe his match against HBK at WM23.

Any of the Undertaker/HBK Wrestlemania matches.

Or the entire outdoor WM31 show. It is visually unique.

Thanks everyone. Hadn't even thought of the cruiserweight stuff because I was looking more at some of what I grew up with in the 80s. Heck, he's pretty much a cruiserweight-style wrestler himself when we're rough-housing on the floor. Not afraid to completely launch himself at me. Most times I'm able to see it in time and catch him before he really hurts himself.

Also, I'll probably try to find a decent (lower violence?) RVD match. I grew up in Battle Creek and, while I don't think I ever met him, he thinks it's really cool that someone from there is a wrestler.

I'd also like him to appreciate Foley's dedication at some point. That point is probably not here yet though.

As far as classic stuff, I think I'll also try the Savage-Steamboat match from WMIII. WMIV might also be good...between the Battle Royal, the tournament, the Bulldogs trying to avenge the theft of Matilda, and Demolition (my favorite tag team), it's a pretty solid card for getting excited about things, too. Besides, I think I remember the lead-up storylines best for that one.

It's too bad there's a crap ton of blood at the end of the match but the WM match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin would be a good one to show your kid for the psychology but it's also fast paced enough to hold some interest.
