That's a big part of character development we don't have much of anymore. You're not just changing from heel to face, having diff gear, theme, even overall attitude goes a long way to showing how different you are from past, and how much you've evolved.

"What was that move? El Paso Picante?"
"There's that...…..flying jalapeno."
Looking back, you guys might like other evolutions of Shawn Michaels. To me, that was the best one. The hair, the ring attire, the entrance attire, the music. Just absolute greatness.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I think I remember him using the piledriver as a finish briefly too between the teardrop suplex and when he went with sweet chin music. When did he finally switch to the superkick?Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Well technically he used it with The Rockers. I really think he stopped using it afterwards so as not to associate the new heel single version of himself with the baby face moves of The Rockers.
I think he switched back sometime in early 93 though. Maybe during that Jannetty feud?

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
That's a good trivia question. I actually feel like he didn't start using the kick as a his regular finisher until like 1995.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
My best guess is sometime post Survivor Series 94 when him and Diesel split as a tag team. I found a few squash matches on Raw from late 93 and early 94 and he was still using the piledriverComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
The split between him and Diesel came off the foot of a sweet chin music in fact.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
That’s what makes me think that is the time frame he changed it. He had a weird 94, after the ladder match he was just hosting Heartbreak Hotel and managing Diesel then they started tagging together. There aren’t a whole lot of his singles matches to go back and look at from that time period.Comment
