    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

I'm finally watching the entire WWE Untold series and theres some interesting parts I never knew about.

Attitude Era term itself might have been coined during the HBK/Taker feud during a moment when HBK got legit heat backstage and fined for something he did, but Vince liked it and wanted to "see more attitude".

And in the episode about Eddie, it was weird hearing his voice and them adding in real interviews of him in the doc from a 2004 interview he did(maybe for a DVD?). And the sad part I never knew, Vickie got a call from Eddie literally hours before he died. She missed his call. Who knows what might have happened if she answered.

To think one phone call might have changed everything. Similarly in the Benoit situation, could that phone call where he invited Hardcore Holly over have been what changed the outcome of what happened.

More from WWE Untold, the ECW relaunch.

I never knew how involved Shane was going to be with ECW. I guess in hindsight, seeing what ECW could've been with Shane in charge is maybe why they let HHH have more power over NXT? Didnt need the show to simply be a 3rd brand with developing talent and main guys sent down, all to get some bigger tv deal.

And Shane had some great ideas too. ECW was going to be what the trend in tv ended up being years later, an online streaming show (and probably added to the old WWE on Demand service). People watching a show when they want, binge watching if they wanted, and less restrictions on what can be on the show since you had no network preventing that. And his idea for what he wanted ECW to partially be might have eventually led to Raw Underground.

And on the Sting episode, HHH only beat Sting because he was going to face Rock at WM32. Sucks we never got that.

They teased that match a couple times, I think. Most notably here, in this video that YouTube recommends to me every couple months:

WWE uploaded eight episodes of Velocity to the Network. Anyone remember the main event of the first episode?

        No? It was...

He's signed through 2035, so they're gonna get as much value from his as possible.

He's appeared in more in docs than in the ring.

Glad he's finally realized where he provides the most value nowadays.

Next up, get on a kayfabe Undertaker movie!

I'd really love to see a documentary covering the early parts of his career and into the 90's, to 2000's. Talking about the creation of the character, was he really supposed to be the one coming out of the Egg at Survivor Series? Transition to the ministry of Darkness to the ABA, etc.

                            He's commented on it before.

He got the call from Vince about the debut at SS and he was convinced that he was the one that was coming out of the egg and will forever be known as "eggman". That was never the plan though.

Just saw the WWE Network documentary, WWE 24: Drew McIntyre, and I'm now a fan of his for life.

It was a great, great special. They go further in-depth about his trials & tribulations leading up to his release, his dominant run in the indy scene (skimming over his TNA run), great return by way of NXT, eventually winning the Royal Rumble & his WrestleMania main event.

Great guy & I hope he's in the main event (or "co - main event") of next year's 'Mania win or lose.
