The late 90s were my favorite time for wrestling. Watching '97 Halloween Havoc is nostalgic.


Looking back, it had a pretty solid card (if you skip the first match and the Disco Inferno match)

-Steve McMichael against someone I don't remember being betrayed by Debra and speared by Goldberg (who "steals" Mongo's superbowl ring)

-Scott Hall vs. Lex Luger
-Macho Man vs. DDP
-Hollywood Hogan vs. Roddy Piper in a steel cage


watching it back, it's clear that the 90s were not a great time for fashion

So just fired up the PS4 and saw that WWE Network was added to the downloads list. Wondering what the hell that was, it was a file update. So fire up the app and first thing I notice, there is now a Search function at the top of the screen between the Schedule and My Account options. With the search you can pretty much type in anything and something will pop up. I just started typing out the first thing that popped in my head, B-A and then a list popped up, so I scrolled to Backstabber and then it gave a number of videos where the Backstabber happens.

Also, in the videos now, you can skip ahead to markers for the beginning of every match and the finish of every match on the card. It's pretty damn cool actually.

I got an e-mail from WWE basically apologizing for the technical difficulties during the show, that they are still working to optimize the Network, and that Arrival would be up for on-demand overnight.

If any Roku users have not gone into their system to search for an update, do so. Last night on the Roku boards, a member of their team posted to go and update and the only update was for the WWE Network channel. As of last night and this morning, I've had no problems with VOD. Loaded up quickly and played straight through. Made it through about 2 hours of Starrcade '86 last night, which is infinitely more than I ever have before.

This is all new. There are going to be bugs. Heck, as much as we hate to admit it, there might even be a few bugs during Wrestlemania. The next live stream that might attract a lot of viewers is the Hall of Fame ceremony, which should let MLBAM and WWE find out any other kinks, but we all know Wrestlemania is going to have the most live viewers the network has ever had.

It's going to a process early on. I, for one, am excited about where it can head and am willing to overlook the glitches in the very beginning. Overall, my experience has been great so far.

I have an iPhone, which I get sick of having to hold. I want to watch this stuff on a big TV.

I had a PS3 and returned it because I had the XBox and they didn't seem that different. Really regretting that now.

Go pick up an Apple TV. Under a $100 and you're all set. Plus if you've got two TVs, you can set up the network on both👍

Someone on Reddit has made a bot that scrapes the website.

It posts the updates it gets on their subreddit, here and also maintains a very basic chronological list of everything on the website here.

The only issue I see with this is the titles, which is more on WWE's end than anything (for instance it doesn't saw "RAW" or "SMACKDOWN" it just says "Episode x", which is how the site has it listed.)

Great for the PPVs and stuff, though.

Posting more because I have nothing else to do.

So the NXT Divas match made me want to watch SummerSlam 94 for Alundra Blaze/Bull Nakano. I'm not a big Blayze fan at all, but holy **** the crowd was hot for this match. Watch it, just to see how far the women's division has fallen both in-ring and in terms of crowd reaction (there's a correlation there.)
