Are we approaching a new era?

I commented on this last night...but it seems like eventually the babyface will be all but eliminated from the E

It's crazy how the biggest pop's and reactions are for your villians/tweeners...

I thought I would never see the day where the crowd was against a Rey Mysterio or Batista...

of course, Bryan is still dominating as a face, but do you think the E will eventually be a place where the line is just permanantly blurred for all performers?

HHH basically acknowledged this a few weeks ago. This is a new Era, one the WWE wants to call the Reality Era, I guess.

    Crappy name, great talent.

I actually would like that. It would be something fresh and new.

The IWC will come up with a better name; just give us some time.

So far this new wrestling season has been out with the old and in with the new.... definitely the dawning of a new era.

I would say so yeah. All of this new talent coming in and showing what they can do just makes me hope that this will be a great era. Not sure what to call it get but give it time.

I'd have to agree as well. I have only gotten back into wrestling since Jan 2013, but it sure feels a lot different this year than last. I'm liking the new stuff, hopefully it keeps up.

With the lines blurring between face and heel, good and bad, it seems like the Attitude Era again but with cleaner storylines.

Why not just call it The New Era?

We had the New Generation Era though, so to me it's kind of a pun off of that.

Right now it looks like the Indy Era, but too early for a name IMO

Like OSU said, Triple H has already pretty much announced the new era, the Reality Era.

Re: Are we approaching a new era?

We're in a new era in the sense that WWE is finally looking focused on building new stars and setting up their future instead of allowing politics undercut pushes and guys kill potential future stars that could carry the company's momentum by trying to hang onto their own spot.

However to the question you have specifically Two Four. I would say no. There are certain cities, certain crowds that will boo, cheer or ignore whoever they want. You can't look at a post Wrestlemania crowd and look to those kind of crowd reactions for how the crowds will be every week. There will always be trips to Birmingham, AL or Richmond, VA or some of these other cities where the crowd just sits there and doesn't react. Where they'll cheer the John Cena's and Rey Mysterio's no matter what and just look at the Cesaro's or Ziggler's like they're nobodies or something.

If we weren't headed that way I think WMXXX and last night's Raw clearly showed a "changing of the guard" at least when it comes to talent. So much emphasis on the new talent coming up from NXT. Vignettes, debuts, title wins, etc. Lots of emphasis on Cesaro. The close of the show featured the Shield and Bryan facing off with HHH, Orton, Batista, and Kane. I think that showed how we are heading off into a new era.

Not to mention the ending of the streak signifying the same thing, in my opinion.

                          And the future is bright.

Can't see those two words together without the mental image of Emily Ratajkowski topless.

And no, that's not a bad thing.

Can't say I'm a fan of the name Reality Era, but it'll do. Wrestlemania was actually the first WWE event I've watched completely through in four years. They're doing something right (aside from having Brock beat Taker).

Just think about 2-3 years ago when I first just got back into wrestling, it was so boring outside of 2-3 guys. A lot of great young talent.
