lol, I started watching Raw at 9pm today, and actually watched other stuff in middle of that too, and I still managed to finish watching the show by time it actually ended live. That's how much stuff I skipped lol.

John Cena and Randy Orton will face off one on one at HIAC for the 21st time(at least on TV/PPV) in 9 years! Cena is 12-7-2 all time in those matches.

I was conservative with my fast forwarding this week because I was afraid I'd catch up before the housewives of Atlanta stuff and not be able to skip through it.

I sometimes do that too. Like if it's around 10-10:30 and I find myself several minutes away from catching up, I might just change to some other show airing on TV for several minutes before going back to Raw so I'd be able to skip more stuff lol.

Just crazy how now I can start 1hr late and STILL catch up before the show ends! Sure,40 or so minutes is excused cause of those being commercials, but it's still alot being skipped.

The Atlanta crowd was so dead. They were non existent compared to the raucous Brooklyn crowd and then the Chicago crowd the week before. I enjoyed the opening tag team match and the crowd was hot for Stardust. Really wished there were more time given to the Usos and Rhodes brothers feud. Looks like AJ is going to go through different "friends" of the week in her feud with Paige. The Ziggler/Orton match was supposed to be a good match but I felt bored by it. Seth Rollins beats Jack Swagger with a rollup. At least Swagger didn't look bad in the match. Did he get a black eye recently?

Don't care about Big Show vs Rusev because I'm tired of Big Show and Mark Henry getting pushes. At least The Miz continues to outsmart Sheamus. The Contract on a Pole match was a nod to Vince Russo's booking and what a lame match. We've always wanted Ambrose vs Rollins. The ending was underwhelming but glad to see an Orton face turn tease. Lastly, at least we didn't have no El Torito match or The Bunny appearance. The lack of a World Champion presence is disturbing.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I'm not the only one that starts Raw from my DVR an hour late and still catches up to live before 11. So much commercials and recaps and garbage.

Crazy this thread is only onto the 12th page now. It's usually in the mid-to-high 20s by time I check the morning after.

I thought the main event was way too rushed and anti-climatic. What was the point of no holds barred? There were no weapons or anything. It was only so The Authority could interfere for whatever reason. The decisions just do not make sense. Hence the poor quality of the shows. Something needs to change..

The whole idea of HIAC doesn't really make me excited anymore either. I haven't seen one in recent years, but do they even do anything other than like throw the opponent into the cell from inside? Have they climbed to the top in the past decade (honest question)? I don't think it's as daunting as they make it seem. Really, what is the difference in today's WWE from a regular match and one with a Cell surrounding the ring? It probably won't even keep people from interfering which is one of the big reasons for a Cell match. It's just supposed to be one on one inside a Cell Of Hell, but we've seen people interfere in cage matches and elimination chamber matches, so even that aspect of a Cell match is lost to me. It just isn't the same these days in the PG Era, I feel. It's just an overblown gimmick match.

The End of an Era Cell match was awesome.

Of course, slightly different circumstances. lol

The cell is way too tall for guys to get up on top now isn't it?

I remember Ryback and CM Punk climbing the cell two years ago. Also, Punk beated up Heyman last year on top of the cell

There's no point of a Hell in a Cell gimmick in this Era. That gimmick thrived when things weren't relegated to TV-PG constraints. Without the added "TV-14" violence, the gimmick serves no purpose.

The last slightly memorable cell match in this PG era was when Bryan beat the snot out of Bray. Other than that, meh.

Never again will we see the likes of Mankind v Taker!

Yeah the last Hell in a Cell match I remember was Bryan/Wyatt and that was good. But I do agree that these matches will be nowhere near as good as they used to be with PG instead of TV-14. Maybe we're all wrong and at least one of the Cell matches will take the cake. God I hope so. I'll save the rest of my comments for the actual PPV thread.

It really is. WWE has toned down the violence, but they still have a lot of leeway in what they could do within a PG rating.
