There definitely used to be a lot more room ringside in the original Hell in a Cell matches.

Maybe they brought it in a little so people couldn't grab it from ringside?

I believe the original was something like 14 feet tall. Then they did the huge one for the DX vs McMahons & Big Show match, and since then the rest have been 20 feet tall.
