stole this idea from another site, but it looks so damn fun i have to bring it here.

the challenge is to put together what you would consider the ultimate wrestlemania card. consider it a form of wrestlemania sudoku where a complete wrestlemania card is created from past WM events with no overlaps of any kind. the rules are as follows:

10 matches of the highest caliber
only one match from any wrestlemania from 1 – 30 can be chosen.
at least one match from each wrestlemania decade (80's, 90's, 00's and 10's).
no performers can show up on the card twice.
every title must be decided (WWE WHC; WWE IC Title; WWE US Title; WWE Women’s; WWE Tag Title.)

Can there only be one title match for each belt?

Example: if I wanted to put Hogan/Andre from wm3 and Savage/DiBiase from wm4 on the card, could I theoretically do that since both matches were for the same title?

I'm a total numbers geek, so I crunched the total time of my show as well. The total amount of IN-RING time for my card is nearly exactly 3 hours:

Keeping in mind that WrestleMania is a 4 hour show, that would leave pretty much exactly an hour for entrances and post match celebrations. That would be roughly 6:45 in between each match which works out pretty much perfectly in my eyes when you cut out all the fluff.

Owen Hart/Blue Blazer v. Mr. Perfect - Wrestlemania V

I love both of those guys but this particular match was terrible. Hennig was completely flat the entire match (even Gorilla Monsoon mentions him looking lethargic) and Owen was insanely green at the time. This match was barely five minutes long, but included a minute long rest hold. Crowd even gave it a little bit of a "boring" chant midway through and deservedly so.

Other than this, I dig your card.

55 that's a bombshell card man, but I sadly can't approve of anything not including HBK vs Razor IC Ladder Match WM 10. I'll have to go through and see what I can come up with to try to have as entertaining a card as you have.

I know. I don't care for the match that much but given the restrictions and how much I'd have to shuffle everything else around to get something else on there, it really killed me.

I really wanted to do away with Cena/Big Show and the Owen/Perfect match and put other things. One thing that occurred to me to get Rock, Foley, Orton, Batista AND Flair on my card too was to put the Rock and Sock v. Evolution match from XX, but since I needed a US title match (only been defended 3 times at Wrestlemania) and Cena/Show was from XX, I couldn't.

Hard to find something other than Owen/Perfect that didn't have any overlap with any other **** I already had involved.

I actually left out the Womens match on purpose because I refuse to make space on this epic card for a title match that has been defended legitimately at WM less then half of the time?

I also don't think it's fair to say "okay you HAVE to have the current titles on the card, which weren't around for all of the wrestlemanias, but not some of the others, Cruiserweight, Euro, Hardcore...etc." US and WHC will ALWAYS be WCW titles to me, I didn't think any of the matches really screamed WM to me Cena v Big Slow, come on now, 5 seconds of Bryan vs Sheamus...

I admittedly did screw up the double WM on 17 which I feel good about as I tried to put 3 matches from WM 10 when I first started

I really really wanted to get Mr. Perfect on my card, but just couldn't do it. It's a shame he never had any great WM moments because he had a good career. I also really wanted to go Bret vs Yokozuna at WM10, but 1 Ladder Match, 2 Bret vs Austin was so great.

I think you can look up and down WM history and legitimately make an argument there have been better matches for the IC title then there have been for the WWF/WWE Championship
