Re: 5/4/15 RAW: May the 4th be.....InZayn?
This thread had enough good comments to make me decide to skim through it. The opening was hilarious. I skipped a lot of it but I wanted to talk about SAMI ZAYN. What an awesome moment that was but for ****'s sake, he just had to get injured didn't he? I have no doubt that injury was legitimate, I don't think the refs **** around with holding up the X. Plus his shoulder looked pretty damn red.
So as a result I think his injury contributed to his match being somewhat sloppy, but he still looked really damn good. I really hope the injury is minor and he stays on the main roster where he belongs. They must be high on him because who else has kicked out of the AA on their main roster debut?
This was actually a really good RAW. I'm glad Ambrose is in something meaningful but I always thought they would go the route of having The Shield facing in a triple threat with a huge buildup behind it. Having them all in the same match at a meaningless B PPV will kind of take away the impact of their inevitable triple threat match down the road.Comment

Really would suck if Zayn is hurt bad. Hope it's just a small thing where he could be fine within a week or two. Would be horrible luck to start off his main roster career. Having momentum/fans from NXT behind you, and then if he actually gets injured seriously, and is out for abit, the momentum gets killed abit.
Speaking of injuries...I know it's old and I should've mentioned it weeks prior, but Barrett should've compared Bryan to Derrick Rose when he was at Extreme Rules(which was in Chicago). I find a comparison like that could be fitting in a way. Either Rose or Eric Lindros(NHL) would be fitting comparison for a guy like Bryan.Last edited by Majingir; 05-05-2015, 12:23 AM.Comment

Well that was certainly a much more better episode of RAW compared to the last two weeks. One thing that I did enjoy was the New Day embracing the new heel persona. They were gold all night, from the opening match victory to their random celebrations backstage. Still don't understand how the Brass Ring Club are faces now but whatever. I'm still saying the same thing about the Bella Twins too. But that beatdown they took from Naomi and Tamina Snuka was nice though. Glad to see Tamina's Superkick in action again.
The debut of Sami Zayn was a long time coming. However he looked to have hurt his shoulder pretty bad so that's not good. His match against Cena was decent. Nice to see Bret Hart be the ring announcer for Zayn. Very odd to see King Barrett and Sheamus tag team together since they fought each other so much. Neville sure has to eat a lot of pins though. Lastly, I'm surprised Dean Ambrose has been added to the WWE Title Match. Wonder what lead to this decision as Ambrose has been stuck in limbo. I didn't mind the ending segment as I found Kane to be more enjoyable this week.Comment

Entertaining Raw.
New Day has sucked me in.
Sami was great.
Heath Slater is an American treasure.
So done with the authority angle.
I get that it was in Canada but I'm pretty sure the ascension straight up called out The Hart Dynasty. They know that's not who they were facing, right? Since I've been getting back into wrestling lately (mostly by reconnecting via YouTube clips, talking to friends, and generally remembering how much fun it was in the late 80s/early 90s, the Attitude Era, and the aforementioned Ruthless Aggression Era), I decided to flip over during breaks of Rangers/Capitals Game 3.
I managed to catch the Ambrose/Rollins match, and it was great. I realize that it's no indicative of the usual quality level of the product, but I may need to check up on Raw again next week.
Then it usually goes stale again. You've been warned.Comment
