Some might be on team WWE, some might be on team AEW.
After watching their first show, I'm on team NWA. Loved the old school feel. I hope they succeed.

Also putting a "male" belt has been in the cards for Tessa since retired Gail, all the way back in February of this year. That was her final knockout's match. After beating Gail she went on to feud with Disco Inferno, then has been feuding with Sami and his goons, oVe, since then (started back in June). And she hasn't wrestled for the Knockouts title since dropping the belt to Taya back in Jan.Comment

Also on the topic of ROH, they just need to sell the company to WWE or AEW already. Their UK tour bombed and they had show last week that only drew like 250 people. Just sell the library and contracts for guys like Taven, Scrull (hearing he's actually going to resign not go to AEW), etc. to either company and call it a day.
I think selling the tape library makes much more sense to WWE than AEW. Because there's just a ton more WWE can get out of it. They'd love to have multiple specials built around the Summer of Punk. Then they'd get a ton of other content for guys ranging from the top of the company like Seth and Daniel Bryan to midcard guys like Samoa Joe to even lower of the card guys like Cedric Alexander. Also owning the broadcast rights to the show that unofficially started AEW would be a nice consolation prize.
Then find some way to let go whatever they please.Comment

Re: Ring of Honor/Other Indie Promotions Discussion
ROH has fired their Women's Champion Kelly Klein according to her husband. Her husband, BJ Whitmer who works as a producer for AEW tweeted out that she was fired via EMAIL from ROH COO Joe Koff while Kelly is still out injured suffering from post concussion syndrome.
This comes after Joey Mercury who was working in different roles backstage for ROH left the company stating several huge allegations that would only sink ROH even further if true and Klein tweeted out support for him. With her husband in AEW, once she's healed and cleared to compete, I'd guess she will be the newest member of the Women's Roster in AEW.
Ring of Honor’s confirmed they won’t be renewing their Women’s champ’s contract, and that it’s because she publicly backed Joey Mercury’s efforts to ‘defame and slander’ the company.

Koff should just call McDevitt and see how much WWE would give them for the library and contracts for guys like Rush and PCO. That tape library would be a huge get for WWE. As it contains "classic" footage for the top guys in all 4 of the big brands on TV right now. Also ROH still owns the broadcast footage for the show responsible for AEW. Ranging from guys like Punk, Bryan, McGuinness, Joe to guys like KOR, Ciampa, Fish, Cole, Rollins, Bucks, Omega, Cody.Comment

Re: Ring of Honor/Other Indie Promotions Discussion
The most lucrative deal in company history from what Dave says. But Dave has been off on this contract situation for the last 2 months, fwiw.
For comparison Taven signed for double the highest paid wrestler in NXT (don't think Finn's counted in that), could end up triple that number by the end of Taven's contract. Don't know if that's the highest deal in company, though I assume it is.Comment

Despite what has come out about Tessa Blanchard, she defeated Sami Callihan to become the first women to win a Men's World Title and captured the Impact World Title.
Now how long until WWE does this with Becky or Charlotte? Perhaps even Ronda?Comment
