The same year the names like Orton,Batista,Cena,Lesnar debuted, we still had Rock,Austin,Hogan and others still part of the roster.Comment

A day late..... but one year ago Becky Lynch revealed her pregnancy and that the Women's MITB match was for the RAW Women's Championship. Asuka did not know beforehand about Becky's pregnancy so we got to see her real reaction to the news.

Tiime to go way back to 1991, WCW Presents the first ever Super Brawl PPV, "Return from The Rising Sun." This was the first PPV following the WCW/New Japan Supershow that saw a rematch between Ric Flair & Tatsumi Fujinami with both the NWA and WCW World Titles on the line in this match.
Also on this card, The Steiners took on Sting & Lex Luger, and it was the debut of Johnny B. Badd accompanied by Teddy Long! Ron Simmons took on his former Doom Partner Butch Reed inside a Steel Cage. Oh and some guy named Oz took on a jobber... wonder what happened to Iz.

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
The internet can be a random place at times. Not sure how or why someone remembered this date (I remember the moment, but not when it happened), but it's the 10th anniversary of the best RKO celebration ever.
2011-2021 feels like way less time than 2001-2011, especially in wrestling, but also just in general.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
It's been 10 years since we lost Macho Man Randy Savage when he tragically passed away after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree. Both he and his wife suffered no physical injuries but an enlarged heart and his death was ruled atherosclerotic heart disease.
The real sad part, it seemed he was working his way back into the WWE, he recorded a promo for the new WWE All-Star Game just four months before his tragic death. It was his first and last interaction with WWE since an interview he did for the Smackdown Magazine in 2003. Man, imagine if he had came back around 2011, 2012, etc, that pop would have been insane.

I never realized how close to the start of the invasion we were when HHH went down.
No matter what, we weren't getting NWO,Goldberg and others for that story. But I do wonder what the invasion might have been like with HHH there. No doubt he would've been on The Alliance.Comment
