The 3rd greatest moment in WCW history happened today. Hulk Hogan and the Fingerpoke of Doom to capture the WCW title. It ranks only behind Jeff Jarrett laying down for Hogan and David Arquette winning the WCW Title.

Forgot to post it, but the 18th was the 21st anniversary of Taker dragging Diesel to the depths of hell (under the ring), in his IYH cage match vs Bret Hart.

Also, Bret refusing to take a jacknife, which (partially) led Nash to going with Scott Hall to WCW.

What's the story on the jacknife?

Original plan was for Bret to take the powerbomb, but he had Vince change the spot before the match.

I can't believe this was 13 years ago.

15 years ago just about a week prior to this:

Wrestlemania X8 in Toronto! I was still new-ish to watching wrestling so I never really got to appreciate having WM here like I would if they ever had WM here in the future. I still remember watching and following everything that went on though. Watching the WM press conference here, actually watching WM itself live on TV, it was awesome.

                    And 16 years ago today:

Arguably the most iconic moment in WWE history occurred 30 years ago today! I was 3 months old when this happened, can't believe it's been that long.

I was 4 and first saw it when I was 5 or 6 and a million more times growing up. If I were asked what viewing experiences stick out from my childhood, this would be near the top of the list. Hulkamania running wild!
These days I'm less like "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis and more like "dying alone on the toilet" Elvis.

17 years (and a couple of weeks) ago. This is how you produce live TV. The official network version of this bleeps out JR calling Shane a "son of a *****" lol.

                            Two things that stand out:

                            1. Triple H overselling the **** out of that overhand right from Vince.

                            2. The Pops from the crowd.
