Because it's a fun city for the party crowd?

Lots of cities are fun too though, not just New Orleans. NBA asw I'm surprised hasn't been somewhere like Boston in forever. And no WM at the new stadium in Minnesota? With Lesnar especially, surprised no WM there.

Like SummerSlam too, having it in same city for same fans, that special feeling wears off eventually. Diff cities allows fans all over to experience this stuff. Not just the show, but Axxess as well. For many people, this would be a once in a lifetime experience so they cherish it more.

I don't have the stats but I would bet that the WM and Summerslam crowds have a very high % of out of town/out of country attendees, not overwhelmingly locals.

Dude, no one wants to go to Boston for vacation in February for ASW. Of the last ten WM's only two have been held in cold weather spots (29 and 23).

If it's a "once in a lifetime" experience, those people will pay the cost to get there, even if they have to travel across the country.

People don't generally have the disposal income that the average person even 10-20 years ago had. And something like ASW isn't so much the tourist attraction as it is an event for fans of that city. Sure fans from outside do come, but it's a majority crowd from that general area.

As for asw, Boston hasn't had it since the 60s. You'd think one of NBA's most historic cities would get to host it more often. Not saying put events there every several years, but more than once in 50 years.

Boston wouldn't get a WM because we don't have a big enough stadium in the city right now. And have shot down proposals to build a new stadium in the city. Yea there's Gillette but that's out in Worcester about a half hour away from the city.

I didn't mean Boston for WM, I meant Boston for an NBA ASG. But for Summerslam, they could go to some MLS stadiums if they wanted. Bigger than basketball/hockey arenas, with similar setup, some places with roofs so they could have SS infront of 30,000 or so people.

Minnesota and Indianapolis would be 2 places which could host WM based on their stadiums. Even Atlanta with their new stadium could host a future WM(by then,it'd be over 10 years since their last WM).

They do have a number of good locations to go to in future. Minnesota in 2019,Indianapolis 2020,LA 2021, Vegas 2022, Atlanta 2023.

lol just saw they're having WM next year in New Orleans...why does everyone go there so often? In past 10 years we've seen like 3 NBA All Star Games and 2 Wrestlemanias. But speaking of future WMs, I know it's awhile away, but wouldn't be surprised if we see WM in Vegas once the NFL stadium is done.
I went to WM 30 in New Orleans and honestly, I enjoyed the city. I want to go back when there isn't an event and have time to explore and see what I couldn't in 2014. When it was announced it was going back next year, I had no interest in going back for Mania. My friends and I were hoping for some new cities that we haven't been too and I have a feeling Atlanta will get it in 2019 since they just opened up that new stadium.

I for the life of me can not figure out how Ric Flair being from Charlotte, the legend that he is, yet Charlotte, NC has never hosted a Wrestlemania at Bank of America Stadium.

I'd still put Minny over Atlanta. You have Lesnar as the main attraction. Lesnar already would draw big, but the being the hometown guy in all this just makes it bigger. How often does the hometown guy main event WM? Outside of the rock in WM28, there hasn't been any i can think of in recent memory.

                          That's a good point.

Since there was no SD Live thread this week, I must say I really wish Miz had kept the IC Title and it was Miz vs Cena for the IC Title. Everything Miz/Cena has done has made me excited for the mixed tag team match but at the same time it makes me wish it was just Miz/Cena one on one.

I'm actually looking forward to the mixed tag match. First mixed tag match with actual meaning and chemistry between both sides in who knows how long.

Lol, was reading over Raw thread after WM last year. Funniest moment, Miz talking about bad things going on recently in his life, then Ryder is just like "sucks to be you bro" and crowd starts laughing alot
