Anyone else getting tired of these damn "commercials?"

Not only is his damn 9/11 angle controversial (surprise with the WWE ) but it's downright annoying.

I have a feeling he's going to open up, and The Rock will soon follow to putting him over....

Mohammed Hassan is an Arab-American. He usually starts his vignettes out by saying things such as, "I grew up in this neighborhood. The same neighborhood you grew up in. I went to the same school, played the same sports, did the same things for fun. But that's all changed now. Ever since 9/11, my people's lives have changed. We are descriminated against for no reason. We are being held accountable for something someone else did. We are not being given a fair chance, which is why I'm here. All I ask is that when I enter WWE, you fans give me a chance....."

Blah blah, you get the jist of it. Up until last night, his vignettes were bordering on the babyface side of things. He actually seemed like a nice guy. Last night though, that changed. It was more of a heel-ish type of vignette. Last night, he was in his "uncle's" quickee mart, saying that because of the way Americans treat him and his people, his uncle must close his store. He threated to "beat the prejudice" out of everyone until he and his people were treated with the respect they deserved. Definitely not a "good guy" type of segment last night.

In my opinion, this is just one line that does NOT need to be crossed. A lot of people died on 9/11, many American's lives changed that day, and this is not something that WWE needs to use to create a storyline or a gimmick.

This Hassan guy has a good look, I'm sure Vince could think of another way to get him over other than using this whole Arab-American thing. Then again, the ratings have been steadily declining for a reason....

I dont mind the promos. I actually dont think that the whole Arab-American thing is a terrible idea for an angle. Sort of like the iron Sheik in the 80's. La Resistance came in right when America and France werent seeing eye to eye. They have been big heels ever since. I dont find the promos too controversial, however I do not think that they should mention 9/11 by name during the promo. They can mention prejudice and stuff like that without speaking on an exact event that alot of Americans feel very serious about. I think the HHH angle with him possibly performing necrophilia with someones "dead" girlfriend (Kane, I think?) was alot worse. Vince always knows how to start controversy.

I don't think this is bad though, I mean in the 80's we had Sgt. Slaughter and the Iron Shiek...then again I'm not a PC nut, I don't get offended easily.

I just want him and Simon Dean to start wrestling, I like the slow burn of the vignettes, but they're not really moving anything along, same thing each week. I know Simon Dean was in OVW (I think he's Mike Bucci, if I remember right), so he can perform. I think he'll have a match with Rosey next week, so hopefully that'll stop the informercials. It was kinda funny the first time, just not the 3rd.

Hassah is Mark Magnus from OVW I believe. He's pretty solid in the ring and Dean is Nova from ECW and OVW. He's even better in the ring. I hope they can both out-live these gimmicks.

EDIT** I just read Shawn Davari is in the promo's with him. He's on a couple of my ROH DVDs his finished is the magic carpet ride.....a frog splash on top of a persian rug heh.
