I'm running about 10 minutes behind live, so I only just saw it, but oh sweet Lana! She can't get here soon enough.

And now Jericho is written off for a month or two after that savaging conclusion tonight and is now free to go tour with Fozzy.
However, when he returns, Smackdown is Jericho! Smack it down maaaaaan!
While a couple of the losses in the Superstar Shakeup hurt, getting both KO and Jericho, in addition to the other superstars they gained, Smackdown definitely came out on top in my opinion in the end here.

Yeah if Jericho is back anytime soon, Smackdown definitely got the better end of the deal. I love how they can leave the tag champs, Corbin, Orton, Harper, and Nakamura off the show and it doesn't feel like there is a void. Plus AJ was only out for like two minutesComment

Re: Smackdown 5/2/17: Ziggler makes a point.
I attended tonight's Smackdown Live in Fresno. It was a good show. I enjoyed it and a lot of good stuff happened. Loved everything involving Owens/Jericho. AJ Styles got such a huge pop in the opening segment. The first match of the night between Sami Zayn/Jinder Mahal was good. Fans were hot for Zayn. Figured Mahal would win as they try to make him look legit against Orton in the next PPV. The other segment we were loud for was the Women's segment. The WWE has done a great job of making fans have sympathy for Charlotte and this new stable of Natayla, Carmella and Tamina have been booked well since they joined together. When Charlotte came out for the tag match, the fans popped for her. The fans popped louder once Becky Lynch came out and booed when it looked like she was joining the new stable. But popped loudly when she attacked them instead. This was great stuff.
Laughed at the Breezango backstage skit. Match of the night was Jericho/Owens. Was very good and the fans wanted Jericho to retain badly. But of course, Fozzy was getting ready to go on tour again so I just wanted to see how Jericho was going to get written off the show. Loved the ending with Kevin Owens sending Jericho on his way out.
Once 205 Live finished, Shinsuke Nakamura came right out and the fans gave him one of the biggest pops of the night. It was dark main event time with AJ Styles coming out next. Then the WWE Champion Randy Orton and he got a loud ovation! Wow. After all these years, Orton is still over. They fought the team of Erick Rowan, Ziggler and Jinder Mahal. Of course, the faces won and you should know who ate the pin to send the fans home happy.

And yet, the show was jam packed and as you said, it didn't feel like there was any void. That's part of the reason I love Smackdown, the two hour time frame is perfect for a full show without having to throw in extra side bits just to fill up minutes. And with as many feuds and storylines as they have going right now, odds are you'll never see all of them on a given night, which actual helps to space some of the confrontations out so you're not seeing the same two guys doing the same thing every single week and have the feud get stale from seeing the same guys face off week after week for two months.
That and Smackdown tries to make the most of every wrestler. Breezango went from jobbers to #1 contenders in a week or two period, Jobber Mahal transformed to an actual legit feeling challenger and threat for the WWE title in a mere two weeks. It doesn't feel forced but almost natural the way they presented both in their push towards title matches.

Was so disappointed when Becky continued to be lame by not joining and becoming the leader of the jobber stable.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Yeah that would have made one of the more intriguing stories having everyone gang up to try and keep the title of Charlotte, who still seems to have a heelish personality, but now it looks like we're heading towards a vanilla 3 on 3 match at some pointComment

Re: Smackdown 5/2/17: Ziggler makes a point.
I'm alright with it as long as it's a slow build to a heel turn for Becky. Even Becky becoming a tweener would even work, while I think most fans would be against a Becky heel turn. Though it needs to be done in a Rollins breaking up The Shield out of nowhere shock turn.Comment

Fandango running through list of crimes the Usos committed:
Fandango-Theyre twins
Breeze-Identity theft!
Fandango-They walk around like they own the place
Breeze-Thats Jey walking!
Fandango-And Jimmy walking!
Lol, funniest line of the show!Comment

That Breezango bit was the funniest part of the show. I hated the idea of them as a tag team because Tyler is so into himself that it didn't make sense to me. However, they keep doing stuff like this....they'll keep my attention for sure!
I was also hoping for a Becky heel turn, just because I want to see what that would look like.
