How WWE Should Have Booked Thread

Ok so, any fan subscribed to What Culture Wrestling on YouTube knows the title of this thread is from one of their series. If your not familiar, Adam Blampied(Former WCPW GM) has a series on there called "How WWE Should have Booked" and looks back at storylines and rebooks them his way. Now just from the off topic thread, PPV Threads, RAW/SD Threads, everyone here has thrown out great ideas for what WWE should do or should have done.

Pick any storyline, any company between WWE, ECW, and WCW. Even if you want to change a match card per say instead of a storyline but just booking a Wrestlemania differently, a Royal Rumble, etc. I will start with rebooking the awfulness that was Wrestlemania 29.

    Wrestlemania 29 Do Over

    Original Card:

    Miz vs Barrett
    Shield vs Orton/Sheamus/Big Show
    Mark Henry vs Ryback
    Del Rio vs Swagger
    Taker vs Punk
    Triple H vs Lesnar
    John Cena vs Rock

    NEW Card:

Pre Show - Miz vs Barrett (IC Title) - Stays the Same. Except I have Barrett retain here.

    Main Card:
Jericho vs Ziggler: So I debated in this do over of whether or not to put the MITB brief case on the line in this match. They had a feud going that didn't really have a conclusion. Jericho faced Fandango, and if anything losing to Ziggler would have been a major upgrade plus the show stealer of the night.

Team Hell No vs Team Rhodes Scholars(Tag Titles): How Team Rhodes Scholars didn't end up in this spot originally is beyond me. Kane/Bryan still win but Rhodes/Sandow end up on the show and in a much better spot and solid match here.

Shield vs Orton/Sheamus/Mark Henry: I almost put Ryback here but settled for his original Mania 29 opponent, Mark Henry. Henry doesn't go heel and joins up trying to take down the Shield.

Big Show vs Ryback(World Heavyweight Championship): What about Big Show you say? He walks into Mania 29 as World Heavyweight Champion. John Cena still wins the Royal Rumble(more on that later) but Ryback wins the EC Match to go on to face Big Show for the title. You capitalize on Ryback's push toward the end of 2012 by having him defeat Big Show for the title, and you don't turn him heel the next night on RAW.

Del Rio vs Swagger(US Championship): Wait, Del Rio was Champ so now where is he? Kofi Kingston was the US Champion at the time of Mania 29 and wasn't even on the card. He lost the title a month later to Dean Ambrose. DEl Rio beats Kofi, and turns heel in the process. He refuses to break the hold, Swagger makes the save. Now you have this feud with the proper title and the heel/face alignment where it should have been.

Brock vs Rock: Now we get to see some Mania 30 storylines that never happened, but do happen a year earlier. Instead of The Shield costing Rock the title at Rumble, Brock does. Both Rock & Brock lost on this night originally so I'm sure Rock would have had no problem losing to Brock. Thus Rock/Brock happens and better sets up Brock for beating the streak a year later by beating The Rock one year earlier. Also no Rock/Cena 2.

Triple H vs Punk(Punk wins, Triple H/Steph are out of power and Punk is COO of WWE): Punk keeps the title at Rumble, brags how he can beat anyone. He's untouchable, then DONG. Undertaker challenges him for the title at Elimination Chamber and wins for one last title run. Triple H cuts a promo the next night on RAW claiming he won't wrestle at Mania because he has nothing to prove, then out comes Punk. Punk says all he wants to do is change WWE for the better but he can't he do it if Triple H is still around. Borrowing from the Bryan/HHH Mania 30 build, Triple H refuses until Punk pushes him to the limit. Only if Hunter agrees to the stipulation that Punk wins, Trips/Steph are out of power and Punk becomes the new COO of the company. Punk wins and makes 2013 more interesting with Punk "in charge" so to speak(think Austin being part owner of WWE in 1999)

Cena vs Undertaker(WWE Championship): Ahhh yes, does the streak die here thanks to the hands of Super Cena? No. Undertaker beats Cena for the title cementing his legacy. We get to see this match while the Streak is still going, Cena/Taker could still have a good match at the time and we get to see Taker walk out of Mania one last time as Champion. Now Taker still gets hurt through the Shield angle. He is forced to relinquish due to injuries. Then a tournament is started where Cena becomes WWE Champion at ER on May 19th.

Re: How WWE Should Have Booked Thread

Wrestlemania 8 is a personal fave of mine, but it could have been better. Here's how I shake it up.

Flair wins the Rumble, but under screwy circumstances. And he eliminates Savage and Hogan illegally, so both receive title shots at WM. Flair does promos in the lead up to WM to make Hogan and Savage distrust each other, old wounds etc, creates heat between the two.

1 - Savage vs Jake Roberts

Just so it's fair (to Flair?) to have all 4 guys wrestle twice, Savage opens the show against Jake. Jake loses clean.

2 - Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog

3 - The Legion of Doom vs The Nasty Boys

4 - Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper

5 - Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair

Flair wins cheap, via low blow, outside interference, etc.

6 - Sid Justice vs Owen Hart

7 - Money Inc vs Virgil and Big Bossman

8 - Ric Flair vs Randy Savage

Classic match. Only downside is you don't necessarily have the Liz angle in there. Savage wins. Hogan comes out and congratulates Savage, and that closes the show.

Re: How WWE Should HavebBooked Wrestlemania 2 Thread

Wrestlemania 2 was one of the Wrestlemanias of all time and it should have been so much better. Here’s how I would re-book it. First of all just one location: the LA sports coliseum, the one they wanted for mania 7. Then wasn’t the right time for it, 5 years earlier absolutely was given they wanted it to be bigger than the first one and there’s few places bigger than an Olympic arena.

      Also no D-list celebs

      New card:
Ricky Steamboat vs Bret Hart- according to Bret’s auto-biography this match was supposed to happen at the event but then plans got changed and hitman ended up in the WWFv NFL battle royal and steamboat faced Hercules. Here they stick with the original plan and these two have the amazing match they actually had on superstars (I think that was the show) which was later released on Brets dvd back in 2006. If you haven’t seen this match go watch it. Steamboat would win
Jake Roberts vs Rocky Johnson- Roberts wwe debut. I feel like he should have faced an actual wrestler on the show instead of an American footballer and since Johnson had been relegated to jobber to the stars, he would have been perfect for the role. Roberts wins obviously.
Paul orndorff vs Don Muraco- I know this match sucked but I would have muraco play mind games with ordorff in the build-up, calling him Hogans lackey and such. They would have a hard-hitting battle (by 80s standards) with ordorff eventually winning but muraco and mr Fuji would attack him post match and this would become the reason for
