Re: Smackdown 3/13/18 Same bad show different week
All I know is that in the past he has said on twitter that wins and losses don't matter. If he isn't the cause of smackdown going down the crapper, he certainly isn't helping itComment

People want a scapegoat, and they know he's associated with the writing process, I guess. I don't think there's much more to it than that.Comment

I can't agree with that, Corbin might have the charisma of a potato but I enjoy his matches. I can't remember the last segment with Carmella that I didn't fast forward through, she's terrible in the ring and a completely uninteresting character.Comment

They must have thought that being the 1st womens mitb winner would instantly get her over or something. Or they were short-sighted and just wanted to do that stupid spot with Ellsworth to get HEEEET.
Either way, it would be 1000X more interesting if Becky Lynch (or whoever) had won it. Then again they couldn't have had her lose clean over and over and over like they did, probably.Comment

I'm sure he did say that. He would know all about that being a part of the Attitude Era, where guys could lose every week and still be over cuz the characters were so colorful. He has also said that they can't do all that fun stuff anymore because they are a huge company and PG. They want to be family friendly and times change.Comment

Being pg doesn't impact quality of storylines though. It impacts types of stories, but that's it. We've been over this alot on this site about how wins and losses mean very little, and characters involved also mean very little, so what exactly are people supposed to be invested in?
As for the mitb, Carmella did have a good stretch near latter part of last year. WWE was just so obsessed with getting Ellsworth over more than her, so that hurt her momentum. There was a point it looked like she was gonna drop Ellsworth and have a "I don't need anyone, I'm great on my own" heel personal, but they just turned that into Ellsworth being taken back until he was released, and now Carmella just being there for months now, looking like some PG lifeguard.
One thing Road Dogg has been good at is tag division. Maybe that's what they need, people in charge of very specific areas. SD tag division has been good, and obviously he knows alot about tag teams.Comment
