A bunch of grown men should be able to hash this out and make a ton of money from it.

But CM Punk, best in the world at holding a grudge, is involved so it ain’t happening. But the EVPs look really bad here too. And worst of all, Tony Khan looks like a dweeb.

What an embarrassing situation for all to be involved in, and the punishments, whatever they may be, are 100% justified. Grown men working themselves into a shoot and acting like children at the playground during recess.

Tony really needs to learn some lessons from this whole ordeal. The fact that he let Punk run his mouth the way he did at the SCRUM just shows those watching that the high-level talent are being left unchecked far too frequently. You'd think Punk were running AEW with how he acted towards Tony in that presser.

I was a fan of Punk's and was happy to see him show up in AEW and have some great moments in the ring. But, I can't support how he acted in that presser.

I don't think this situation is mendable and I'm pretty shocked that Tony even sat down with Punk. Especially after he embarrassed him, much of the AEW locker room and "higher ups."

Tony definitely needs to strip everyone involved - **** having them "drop" or lose the belts - of their titles, strip the Elite of their EVP status, suspend all parties involved in the brawl, while canning CM Punk & Ace Steele.

Punk "big leagued" everyone he could and made himself seem like he's bigger than the company. And he'll hold this grudge against everyone involved - regardless if he's fired or not - cause that's what he does.

Everyone was in the wrong, obviously, but Punk created this situation unprompted and without the other individuals involved there.

This all could've and should've been handled behind closed doors even with the dirtsheet writers there if needed. Instead, a lot of people's legacies are tarnished (whether short-term or long-term we'll have to see), AEW loses even more momentum with this negative press and Punk (or the Elite, I guess) has torched his (their) reputation/career, IMO.

Of course, he'll still have his backers (Jim Cornette) and fans that will defend and back him to the bitter end. Until they do something that pisses Punk off & he lights a fire to that relationship or situation too.

Wait…the rumor is that Punk gets to choose his punishment? Am I reading this right?

It's crazy that I can come up with a list and still feel/know I've missed lots.

Cody jumps from AEW to WWE
              Vince gone from WWE
              HHH/Steph take over
Punk or Elite could be gone from AEW
              Austin returned for a match
              Ric Flair retired again
Undertaker is doing one (dead)man shows
WWE held a major event in the UK
AEW did a crossover event with new Japan

If this is the case... the Bucks, Omega and Hangman should all walk if Punk only gets a suspension. The fact Tony would even choose Punk over the guys who helped build the company is mind baffling.

                  Re: AEW Off-Topic

One thing that I feel hasn't been talked about much (I've seen it mentioned here and there).

If the report stating that the EVPs kicked down the locker room door after being denied entry is accurate, then the EVPs opened AEW to potential litigation. That is probably why they are handling the Punk side of things very carefully. Punk could easily file a lawsuit against AEW, citing unsafe work conditions as the executives of the company turned a disagreement into a physical confrontation.

I don't see how this ends with Punk still with the company...but I'm sure he'll get a lovely package to avoid litigation.

If they were the aggressors here, it's an easy call. But we don't know who was.

Quick - someone call the arena and casually ask if they've had to replace any doors in the last two days.

From what I have seen/read from our lovely news sources...you absolutely read that right.

Punk basically get to choose if...

                      1) He gets to drop the title and contract is done.

                      2) Take a suspension and possible title strip.

                      3) Quit.

On unrelated to CM Punk/The Elite beef & brawl news, AEW has granted Malakai Black a "conditional" release from his contract.

Now, I'm not trying to mitigate the severity of Malakai's back injury. But could we see him in WWE as soon as his non - compete (or whatever stipulation exists) clause is over?
