People can and will use any reason to sling mud at the competeition, like "it's just a bunch of washed up WCW guys", and "They don't even have a Monday night show!!!1", but you should view the product for a month or two and give it a fair shot. Judge it for yourself. Unless you are just a complete and total WWE mark you will be at least somewhat entertained and you will see the potential that the company has. If you are anything like me and enjoyed what the BIG 3 each brought to the table before the WWF bought up the competition, you will more than likely enjoy TNA.
I still don't understand why you folks don't see the point. The way these guys wrestle is going to kill them. I am not saying that as an exaggeration. It will legitimately killl them early in life. Why do you think Jeff Hardy took time off before coming to TNA? The kid was limping around like he had been hit by a bus. Only in his case, it's like being hit by a bus a hundred times over.

Folks, a good highspot here and there is OK. But what these guys (as in anyone with no main event name value) are doing to their bodies for a couple of cheap (yes, highspots are cheap) pops. The X-Division has (for those of you that know what it is) storytelling in a match. The Jericho/Benoit match last night: that was storytelling. When Shawn Michaels wrestles: epithamy of storytelling.

You guys are getting spoiled at watching big moves, and, I hate to tell you, you can't keep favorite wrestlers that way. Mostly, because they suffer more career ending injuries trying to go 'one step higher' because they know if they do the same sick bumps without increasing the impact, it will become stale.

So, when was the last non-main event match with no sick bump/highspot move that you can remember liking? As for me, I can say, in the past month, there has been Jericho/Benoit, Orton/HHH, hell Lita Trish I was a better match than most of the talent no TNA can put on without going crazy with the 900 double twist front flip corkscrew moonsault to the concrete on the outside.

And I have no problem with them not having a Monday night show, or being ex-WCW guys. I am not slinging mud. What you see above is pure fact. Ask the wrestlers who have been hurt in the current rising trend of injuries on the independent circuit due to trying to impress the big boys with high spots.

Ever wonder why the independent stars that pull constant highspots don't get jobs in WWE? Because WWE is smarter than that.

WWE was going this way in the Attitude Era (with all the TLC matches and whatnot), but they realized that over time the high spot match can't sustain. Like you said, you have to keep topping yourself, making it more and more dangerous. I happen to agree with you, while I like a good high spot it's the storytelling in a match that's key. That's just me though, we're all different and look for different things.

Re: Wow NWA:TNA What a show...

            1. I'd rather see someone wrestle at the highest level for a few years then waste away with the formulaic **** the WWE puts out. But if you wanna see these guys wrestle at their best sadly TNA really isnt the place to do it. Many of the X-division guys in TNA could out WRESTLE anyone in the WWE not named Eddie, Kurt, or Chris an they could keep up with them too.

            2. Lita and Trish? I know you were half joking but please Mike Tenay and Don West could out wrestle those two and both would look better in dress than Lita's ugly ***. Speaking of some who's gonna kill themselves there ya go.....oh and HHH/Orton? Well I like Randy but he's not good enough to carry HHH yet. HHH hasnt had a decent match is about 4 years now.

            3. Yes you are right TNA X-division matches could use a healthy dose of storytelling.....and selling for that matter. I know the guys are capable of it which makes it even worse for me. But in the WWE unless its a main event every match is the freakin same. Alot of punches, kicks, and closeline, with each wrestlers 2 or 3 signature moves mixed in until someone decides it time to hit their finisher. If there is a finish at all with millions of run-ins.

So for now I'll stick with ROH and other indy shows I can find on bit torrent. There you get the best matches you just lose pretty much all of the production value. but atleast I dont have to hear the Droopy Lipped Bandit JR or that screaming idiot Don West.

I think that part of my enjoyment of the WWE is that I've followed some wrestlers for a long time...I want to see what happens to people in the storylines, kinda stupid maybe, but I care a whole lot more about someone like Shawn Michaels than I do Jeff Jarrett.

I'm probably not a total wrestling "purist" either...I just enjoy what the WWE does, it's not perfect and sometimes I stop watching for a bit, but overall I'm not totally pissed off at the product like some are. At least there's TNA for those that want it, choice is key, to each his own
