Folks, a good highspot here and there is OK. But what these guys (as in anyone with no main event name value) are doing to their bodies for a couple of cheap (yes, highspots are cheap) pops. The X-Division has (for those of you that know what it is) storytelling in a match. The Jericho/Benoit match last night: that was storytelling. When Shawn Michaels wrestles: epithamy of storytelling.
You guys are getting spoiled at watching big moves, and, I hate to tell you, you can't keep favorite wrestlers that way. Mostly, because they suffer more career ending injuries trying to go 'one step higher' because they know if they do the same sick bumps without increasing the impact, it will become stale.
So, when was the last non-main event match with no sick bump/highspot move that you can remember liking? As for me, I can say, in the past month, there has been Jericho/Benoit, Orton/HHH, hell Lita Trish I was a better match than most of the talent no TNA can put on without going crazy with the 900 double twist front flip corkscrew moonsault to the concrete on the outside.
And I have no problem with them not having a Monday night show, or being ex-WCW guys. I am not slinging mud. What you see above is pure fact. Ask the wrestlers who have been hurt in the current rising trend of injuries on the independent circuit due to trying to impress the big boys with high spots.
Ever wonder why the independent stars that pull constant highspots don't get jobs in WWE? Because WWE is smarter than that.
