      Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision/Rampage Thread

The sad thing about it is they showed the footage as a way to push their tag title match at Dynasty. I thought the Bucks did a fine promo talking about what happened, the handshake, etc. Then having FTR immediately come out and respond, it certainly did its job and got me excited for their match. You could have done both of things without showing the footage and everything would be fine right now. Hell, they just had Cardona on the show against Copeland recently. Say they are going to show the footage, but it's just the Bucks poking fun about it using Cardona's and Myers' action figure collection.

As for the Osprey promo, I did find something that does allude to that Hunter was referring to Osprey. Osprey was on the Talk Is Jericho Podcast and talked the differences between the contract offers.

“Even in differences of what they were offering and what AEW was offering, AEW was way better. The scheduling, everything about AEW was completely the right option for me. It was always, you can go be a superstar in WWE and famous, but it’s not as good of pay and it’s not as kind of a schedule. I respect everyone there doing it, but it’s not for me.”
Hence, Triple H then talking about not wanting superstars who can't handle the grind and the schedule that comes with working in WWE.

The WWE's offer was probably a 'prove it' type of offer. Where he would need to either start in NXT or not get top dollar like Roman and Brock are receiving.

That might not be appealing to a guy like Ospreay that has worked his butt off in Japan and has a family to feed. Plus, having to relocate to the US & work a 'tougher' schedule.

All of that is completely fine, TBH, just like it's fine for Paul to say he only wants 'committed' talent.

I think Punk’s lawyer is already on it according to his lawyer’s Twitter/X account (Steven New) [emoji2363]

Yup, someone tweeted about how CCTV footage in the UK falls under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) laws.

Punk’s lawyer responded to that tweet, saying he tried to warn them.

Punk could do the funniest thing.

              I hope he does.

But, what honestly would this even do?

"Violators of GDPR may be fined up to €20 million, or up to 4% of the annual worldwide turnover of the preceding financial year, whichever is greater."

                Okay, this just got funny.

Mox: I want to go up against the biggest the Don Callis family has to offer.

                    *Fans cheer*

Mox: I want Powerhouse Will Hobbs!

                    *Fans cheer*

Mox: So Hobbs, next week in Jacksonville we will go one on one.

*Fans go silent thinking they were about to get a Mox match tonight*

What a crazy week in wrestling. First we find out that Bruce Prichard is the "magic theme song button pusher" in WWE. Now on Dynamite we find out that Tony Khan is the theme guy in AEW.

I'm so confused by the last segment, obviously it's supposed to be a shock but the fans were cheering Jack Perry, and didn't even give the reaction AEW wanted in the aftermath. Fans weren't booing... that whole segment seemingly didn't get the reaction they were trying to get.

On the bright side of things... Chuck Taylor finished his story. After 5 long years, he was finally able to say the word S*** on National TV!

That ending was the epitome of cringe and corny. AEW is never gonna need to worry about bringing in a casual audience with **** like that.

                              My goodness. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

They've topped the airing of The Punk/Perry backstage fight for 'most embarrassingly cringe moment (in pro wrestling) of the year.' [emoji51]

Not quite Austin/McMahon or even Bubba/Dixie but I'm always up for an "owner gets attacked" angle. Now I need him in a neck brace tomorrow at the draft to sell it.
