    NWA Powerrr Weekly Thread

Getting this thread going to hopefully create more awareness. This show is streamed on YouTube every Tuesday. They just had their second episode tonight. It's a modern twist on the old NWA shows from the 80's and it's awesome. It's a very easy watch, it's less than an hour long, and so far it's GREAT!

Here are the links to episodes 1 and 2:

Everything here just feels real and natural as opposed to the heavily scripted WWE "universe". The show moves at such a smooth pace and they do a great job of getting you to care about guys I'm sure 99% of us have never even heard of.

That Ricky dude (forget his last name) looks like a future star, he's got lots of charisma and cut a solid promo

What a fun show! I love how they brought back the studio wrestling just like the old days. Good stuff, I am on board

NWA sold out their first upcoming PPV in just 3 hours!

...of course they didn't mention that the capacity of the studio it's being held at is about 250 people, lol...

          Yeah, minor detail.

Doubt I will buy the PPV, but if the Rock N Roll express are on the card then it has my blessing. Those guys can still go and it's insane.

Really, really happy to see Damien Sandow on this show. Will be watching going forward.

Add more wrestling to the weekly docket. Why not. SMH.

Sandow, Anderson, and Murdoch. Odd to see them all on the same show, haha.

Episodes 1 & 2 were solid. I think Murdoch is going to be a solid big man to get people over, he just looks so...like the commentator said, a baked potato with arms and legs.

Anderson is 44 so that gut is expected, but man what a bummer. He should have won multiple world championships in the E, but injuries, drugs and injuring two top guys can sure kill a career.

Seeing Sandow is just fun. The guy kills it on the mic, and am excited to see him wrestle again even though I don't remember him being all that good in-ring.

This show could be an hour of Sandow every week and I'd tune in.

                I'd actually prefer it.

Another solid episode. This show is so simple yet so good. I honestly think I enjoy this show more than any other wrestling show right now

                    Re: NWA Powerrr Weekly Thread

So Jim Cornette resigned from NWA today after a racist comment he made during their last episode. The show is taped which makes it look worse for NWA because it should've been edited out before ever making it on air.

Cornette was a good commentator and you think he would've known better to say something like that in 2019, but here we are.

Following him on The Twitter, this is nothing surprising.

Not surprised at all that he said it, but really surprised it wasn't caught and edited out before airing.

Do they have a credits list for the show? Most likely the idea of checking Cornette's commentary for stuff like that was a low priority, which, given some of the stuff he said on MLW, was pretty unwise. I know the first time I heard that fried chicken line I had to think for a second before I understood what it even meant. Bizarre.

Which decade did you first hear it? Dude's been doing the same material forever.

I had never heard that scooter line before.
