WCW nitro after great americn bash 98

I was looking for a tape to record royal rumble tonight and came across a unlabel nitro from 1998, a day after great american bash, man what memorys this episode had sting making a decision on who his tag team partner is gonna be after he deated the giant at G.A.B. and won both tag titles ( sting was NWO red and Black), this was a good show, when jj dillion was to present chris jericho ( the man with 1004 moves, Arm bar baby) the cruiserweight title after melenko got dq at G.A.B, and the main event was savage vs ddp cage match.....

Sweet. I have pretty much ever Nitro from late June 97 to the first week of 98. I really wish I'd have kept saving them cuz thats just when Jericho turned and began his hilarious string of fueds.

It still cracks me up whenever I come across and old tape and hear Jericho refer to Dean Malenko as "Stinko Malenko".

Not even just for competition, but I miss those days badly! I'd do just about anything to see Sting make a return to the WWE, even though it wouldn't be the same. Before Jericho was blackballed in WCW and the nWo got old (and bigger than the TNA roster) and the undercards were as good if not better matches than the main events....(sigh)

:y4: I remember those days. That's when I never even watched a minute of Raw. I remember flipping over to Raw and seeing the Nation Of Domination and paying no attention to it, I also remember seeing some sort of boxing matches with the wrestlers. I don't know who but someone got knocked the F out by someone else. It was a hell of a punch.

Butterbean thrashing Bart Gunn. That was hilarious.

Bart Gunn dropping Doctor Death Steve Williams maybe? Then he got floored by Butter Bean...oh the excitement!

I was all about Nitro too at that point, I never knew the Patriot was on Raw because I never watched the show. How about when Bischoff starting giving away pre-recorded outcomes on RAW. "Don't bother watching the RAW bowl folks, the Smoking Gunns win it!"

I thought Bart Gunn was one of the boxers I just could not remember if he won or lost.
I was a huge fan of WCW so I thought by Bischoff giving away all the goodies that Raw was going to show was great, it was evil but great. I still can't believe he works for Vince now!
But then Vince and the WWF came back and had the Nacho Man and the Huckster which was mad funny :y4: That was a great time to be a fan of "Sports Entertainment".
